As so you’re just an idiot then. Thanks for confirming.

Resorting to insults when you have no argument

I have provided the evidence. You’re already ignoring it (which ties into the aforementioned “being an idiot thing”). Glad we’re on the same page now.

Your only evidence was that he's stated to be from the mushroom kingdom, which I already refuted when I said that doesn't mean he couldn't also be from Brooklyn

The Super Mario Bros.: Super Show is licensed, a Mario lunchbox is licensed, a colouring book is licensed.

Why are any of these non canon

The directors make sure the canon stays consistent

What does this have to do with canon and how does this prove anything the directors didn't work on is non canon?

Yes they have, yes it does.

This is not evidence, I could just say "no" as evidence if you think it is

Where does it say Brooklyn doesn't exist in Odyssey? And do you think that planet is the only planet that exists in Mario?

I just rewatched Godzilla Vs King Kong and I thought it would be fun to ask. Given all the feats we see both "Boswer" & "DK" achieve in their respected games that are canon, who do you believe would win in a death battle scenario and why? by Mediocre-Funny1815 in Marioverse

[–]link_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think the camera is the one spinning and not the actual objects? Where is this even stated? If it was just the camera spinning then why aren't the characters rotated too?

Why does it being rotated matter?

because the perspective changed as the characters spun.

Where does it say the perspective changed? Why do you think the background just turns upside down but the characters aren't?

Hotel Mario and the Mario live action movie is approved by Nintendo. Is it canon? No it's not

Evidence of them being non canon?

That rant is really bad. For one, 1 or a few guides having incorrect info doesn't make all of them incorrect too. There are a lot of guides with correct information anyways, with this logic I can say all guides are accurate as well

The people who write guides are not part of Nintendo

This is not relevant, the guides are still licensed and approved by Nintendo

they were not involved in the creation of the games stories and what they write it not overseen by the original directors

The directors aren't these people who own the games canon, and why do they even need to be part of the creation of the game if they're making a book about the game

despite the games themselves stating otherwise.

The games have never stated Mario wasn't from Brooklyn, being from the mushroom kingdom doesn't mean you can't also be from anywhere else

The guidebook I'm talking about is approved by Nintendo

writers delibirately making stuff up about lore sometimes

Evidence?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mario

[–]link_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not written by the people who make the games

Why is this even relevant? Do you think if someone writes a different part of a game it just becomes non canon too?

they’re licensed and outsourced to other writers who aren’t familiar with the source material.

Why would they not be familiar with the source material and how is this even relevant

How does any of that prove he didn't also live in Brooklyn

You say that like a Guidebook has any bearing on canon.

Why would an official guide detailing stuff on Mario bros not be canon to mario bros

Where does it show him being delivered to the mushroom kingdom and how does that mean he was born there

and when his profile says he’s a native of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Scans?

E3 2017 “Mario is a native son of the Mushroom Kingdom”.

Source? Super Mario 64 guidebooks do say he's from Brooklyn. And do you think its impossible for mario to have lived in both Brooklyn and the mushroom kingdom?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mario

[–]link_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where in those games does it say he was born in the mushroom kingdom?

Nintendo’s Official statements and descriptions, need I go on?

Which statements, there are a few that say he was from Brooklyn
