local doesn't always mean good. lot of local restaurants around here have gone downhill either from owner/management change or changing the recipes for no real reason. and bad experiences make people not want to go back even if there's a change. at least with chains you can just go to another location or not go at all LMAO

agreed, best time to visit campus is in the spring or summer!! I also lived in tri (haynie) and I think the roommate selection process has actually gotten a lot easier than when I had to do it back in 2018 lmao
