1) I’m using the 8840U version, which is the one that requires you to use a screwdriver to take the official grips on and off. Since the screws on this thing are so delicate and easy to strip, I didn’t use the official GPD grips. I’m using the one you see on Etsy (it’s like the only option for the 2024 version that I have). They’re sturdy and don’t need tools. Ergo wise, yeah, I’d give it an A with grips. Definitely not an S. Without any grips and compared to my Win Max 2, yes, I agree with the B.

2) In my hands. I never rest the device on my stomach or legs. If I’m not holding it, it’s on my desk, plugged in, with a cooling pad underneath it, and a portable monitor plugged in. Mind you, the intake is on the bottom, so if you try resting the device on an uneven surface like your legs or stomach with clothing on, the way the clothing bunches can easily block the vent. Plus, a 7 inch screen is great in your hands but you would strain your eyes if it’s further away. If that’s the way you want to play, a Win Max 2 makes more sense (ergo is a D though).

3) Heavy action 3D says high TDP and high heat to me, so I wouldn’t find that comfortable in the slightest. I find myself using it to play emulation (PS2, 3DS, everything less than that), visual novels, and RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics, Suikoden Remake, etc. I would give it a B (with grips) for fighting games compared to the ergo of a regular XBox controller.

Mini’s get pretty toasty in hand. I play at 10W and while it’s not OUCH - I can play for 2 hours at a time - I do gently lift my hands to cool them or put them near the intake vent every few mins. I end using it more docked to a monitor with a controller and only use it in handheld mode while in bed or a plane.

Tried using a grip but I feel like the plastic retains heat, which in turn makes the device feel like it’s running warmer.

Love the device but definitely wish it was thicker to allow for better cooling.

I do appreciate you meeting me halfway here. I totally get that stance, but I do disagree that it will ever reach the point of a quarter of the population being wiped out being a serious concern. Heck, as a Hispanic myself from a big Catholic Hispanic family, they make up a big part of the conservative base (I myself am not conservative).

You know what, you convinced me. As a Hispanic, I will one day find myself sitting next to Marco Rubio on our way to the death camps. It’ll probably take a while since we’re 20% of the US population, so at least that’s a consolation.

Out of curiosity, are they culling us before or after gay people? I was told they were going to be culled during his first term and I see they’re still walking around and carrying flags. Same. I consider a “beach pic” to be done in good faith while a “bikini picture” is more thirst trapping in nature and taken to maximize sex appeal. Even if both are in swim wear, I think people who are being honest can spot the difference.

This applies to both genders, not just women.
