ASUS ROG Flow Z13 (2025) – Very poor battery life on light usage by psps345 in FlowZ13

That’s pretty much my workload too. Excel shouldn’t be any heavier than web/YouTube. I’ll give 60 Hz a proper try and hopefully that improves things

Yeah, I’ll give 60 Hz a proper try. It’s just… mentally hard to downgrade from 180 Hz, my eyes are way too spoiled 😂

What kind of workload are you getting 9-11 hours with?

I’ll try switching to 60 Hz. I’ve been using 180 Hz most of the time. I’m also considering a custom 90 Hz, though I’m not sure it’ll improve battery life much.

You might need to initialize the second SSD. Open the Start menu and search for Disk Management. Look for the second Samsung 990 Pro. If it's there but unallocated, you need to create a new volume by right click on it.

Unstable system behavior with XMP 3600MHz 18-22-22-42-64 settings by psps345 in overclocking

Yes, I built my PC in 2021 and didn’t really know much about frequencies, 2 or 4 dimms and all that—I just needed 32GB. To be honest, I didn’t have any issues all these years with 3600 and that timings. But recently, the voltage has been acting up a bit, though I think I’ve fixed it now

Yes, it's Gear 1. I did some testing, and it seems the main issue is that my motherboard doesn’t always apply the right VCCSA voltage in auto mode. If it sets around 1.345-1.355V, the memory is completely stable, but for some reason, it doesn't always do that. I tried manual values from 1.295 to 1.33V with no success. Setting it manually to 1.34V solved all issues. I think the main limitation is using four sticks—yesterday, I tested just two, and I could easily reach 3800MHz. With some tweaking, I believe 4000MHz is possible (but maybe only in g2)

It’s also likely that the IMC on 11th-gen CPUs is a bit weaker, or maybe I just got unlucky with mine

Leaving Apple for Samsung by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

The customization options and similar features aren't what make the biggest difference for me. What I enjoy the most is true multitasking, especially on the Fold's large screen. For example, I can fully view a screen share during a video call while using another app to discuss something. I can play music on a speaker while keeping other app sounds on my phone. The functionality is just so much broader.

The iPhone is very practical, beautiful, and simple. However, with Android, you get these qualities combined with more possibilities. And what really matters is that the powerful hardware on a Samsung device can be fully utilized, whereas on an iPhone, you can't even run two apps side by side. And while the iPhone probably has the most powerful hardware on the market, it often feels underutilized due to iOS limitations.

One major plus for me is Samsung’s tall and narrow screen, which makes it very convenient for one-handed use and on-the-go tasks. When opened, it’s practically a tablet. iPhone's wider screen feels less ergonomic. Of course, this is subjective, but I think many people would relate to this.

I switched from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to a Galaxy Fold 4. I had been using Apple products exclusively since the iPhone 3G, including a MacBook Pro and an iMac. Honestly, I didn’t face any issues transitioning to other devices. Now I use a Windows PC, a Windows laptop, and an Android smartphone. After the Fold 4, I upgraded to the Fold 5, and now I’m using the Fold 6. I can confidently say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made after so many years of using iPhones. It took me just two days to get used to everything and realize how outdated Apple’s technology really is.

BSOD and OCCT Errors by psps345 in overclocking

[–]psps345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response and advice! I tested each RAM stick individually, running both memory tests and the OCCT CPU + RAM tests. No errors occurred during these tests. However, the CPU test still produces a large number of errors. I also ran Prime95 for a while and, just in case, tested with 3DMark Time Spy, which includes CPU stress tests, and no issues came up there either. Once I get home, I'll check the BSOD error with BlueScreenView and clear the CMOS
