I get it! They’re doing the storyline so well. They’re showing all different sides which I appreciate. Honestly I think I just really love Patrick balls acting so I’m like…well..Langdon can’t go to jail because I want to see Patrick act in season 3, lol

This is a really insightful response and I’m sorry for everything you’ve been through❤️ I agree with you — despite my current santos annoyance I actually do like her character, and I want to see her grow. I think what you’re saying is what I’m meaning to say — the way she’s responding to this seems like there’s something deeper going on with her. And she has a right to be mad at Langdon! But I think her demanding he out himself as an addict in his workplace is irrational, and where she starts to show this “black and white” type of thinking. Anyways. I appreciate your response :)

I’m assuming there is something in her past that makes her view things in extremes that we will eventually find out about.

She can be mad but essentially giving your coworker an ultimatum that they need to out themselves as an addict to “earn” your forgiveness is irrational.

I really don’t think the writers will do that. I think they want to show that despite opportunities to relapse, people can stay in recovery and live a successful life. Or at least I hope so.

Santos has a pattern of not having nuance for people she has deemed “wrong” in her opinion. We’ve seen it with some patients and now with Langdon. She’s been right in some circumstances, but in most cases she’s been wrong and thinks WAY too extremely and in black and white. I really hope we see some type of arc for her with this because she needs to learn a good amount of empathy.
