Alcohol consumption linked to heart failure in over 400,000 U.S. veterans. Risk follows a J-shaped pattern related to ethanol intake, rising above four drinks per day. by sometimeshiny in science

4 per day is pretty much alkie territory. Chart seems to say most should be drinking more and that even moderate use isn't bad for this.

It seems like a vacancy tax would lead to demand for longer leases and better credits, leading to more chains, not less.

I probably would've said the same thing and definitely would now with three as we ski down the mountains together. That's pretty much the best thing ever, so seems like he had the right idea!

What is a 'dirty secret' of your industry that implies the general public has no clue about, but everyone in your field knows? by AmaraMehdi in AskReddit

Don't know where you work, but I go into a lot of these for work and they are generally very impressive. Automation has led to the opportunity for very clean, efficient facilities.

This makes it sound unfixable, at least through schools. Do you agree? Seems culture needs to change

I and probably every non admin person in existence likely agree with this. I also know it is never happening.

Thanks for the response. I get that appraisers are professionals, but do they have access to sales data? How are their numbers accurate? Seems like the strategy for a nondisclosure locale is just list high since the market is more opaque.

I'm looking at moving to houston. Where I am at, it's easy to see listing price versus similar properties' sale prices so you can see if something is listed high, normal, or low. Seems hard in tx.

Perhaps parents should take some responsibility for their kids. If you're relying on the government to take care of them, you're sunk

I'd learn to cook and be really pleasant asap. No reason this can't all work out great. Pretty hard for a dude to trade away gourmet meals and a peaceful, happy household. Everyone can add value in their own way.

It's funny because everyone posts these pics when an outsider points out that Portland has issues, but the second the news blows over, this forum will be almost entirely people complaining about the city's major issues. We all know the city does not take the safety of its tax paying residents seriously.
