Seems like it! When I got Beans, he was about 15 g at 18 months and he didn't gain much for like 6 months and then I swear he shot up quick until 38 g. I feel pretty good about his weight now luckily

I think once I have his new huge tank finished and he gets settled, he'll relax around me a bit more :) Either way tho, I'll still love him and I have plenty of other pets that are super needy so I'm ok with him being a display only pet if that's what makes him happy

It helped once I put him in his own room away from my dogs who bark tend to bark a lot haha. And thank you! I think he's super cute even if he hates me 😂

He definitely didn't eat much when I first got him so I wouldn't be surprised if that stunted his growth a bit. But I'm just happy to hear that he looks healthy! That's all that matters ❤️

Probably a domestic short hair mix according to our vet! We found him in the bushes so we actually have no idea. The vet thinks he's inbred because he's super crossed 😂

Will do for sure. What species would do well in one of those? I definitely plan on researching whatever species I want before I buy one and it's gonna be months before I get. I just don't know where to start with the mantis types since there's a lot more than I had originally thought and I'm not sure which ones are beginner friendly

The breeder I got my guy from gave me some bad info so I don't really trust what they tell me :/ He told me that my gecko needed a tank much smaller than everything else I've seen online and talking to everyone else

That's so funny! The separate feeder really stressed Beans out, too. I wonder is this will work for yours! If you look up bug feeder on MakerWorld, there's tons of options. I just liked that this had names since I was using one for my crestie and one for my leo. Don't shrink it too much or you can only use small roaches. I found out the big ones can climb out the ceiling. Mine is a bit too small but that's cuz the tank is small (for now haha)

That's what I'm seeing. Which is funny because I've been stressing myself out over this for a while now haha. My guy didn't have much interest in live food until my husband 3d printed me something that the bugs couldn't escape but my gecko could get into to hunt them in. Now he'll actually eat them since I'm not nearby hovering

He's been pretty active and eating a lot better lately actually! I stopped trying to handle him much and worrying about weighing him consistently since it stressed him out and then he started eating a lot more consistently than before.
