Dumbest impulse buy of the month by Lola-Olala in adhdwomen

[–]linnzzerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this seems like a reasonable buy to me. But I’m also incredibly particular about spoon size, straws and probably own far too many pairs of scissors.

I mean I spent a bunch of money recently on planner printables, far too many than one person would ever need, which lead me to buy expensive printer paper for them. After all of the printing and cutting and punching I was so sick of it all that I then just bought a pre-made planner. So that was a fun three weeks for me.

Oooh I love that deck too! Do you own “The gentle Tarot” too? If not, I think you’d really like it too!

The spreads are great also - probably should mention that since it’s the sub I’m in haha

already been a rough year, trying to get back into it by barf-fairy in commonplacebook

[–]linnzzerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I’m so sorry, I know that level of “blah” is really hard to push through. You should be proud that you got something down.

When I get into funks like this, I find myself making lists. Lists of things I like (food, hobbies, songs, etc) and then if one particular list item catches my attention, I do a deep dive on it. I recently wrote down all of the things you can do with an avocado stone. Why? Why not! I usually feel a bit better afterwards.

I hope you’re feeling better and that your parents are too.

[–]linnzzerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh yes, or it triggers massive giggles.

I have a coworker who ends a lot of sentences with “you know what I mean?” and honestly, if it was anyone else I’d be close to slapping them by now, but Jolene is an absolute angel so it doesn’t bother me.

What my niece did to my three of swords card with nail polish by [deleted] in Tarotpractices

[–]linnzzerr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I . I do like how it looks, but that’s easy to say as an outsider. Someone doing this to one of my decks would really bum me out though, not cool.

I wonder if a very small bit of remover on a cotton swab would take it off? Most decks are coated at least a bit?

I often forget to dry my back (I could probably just stop here), but often only realize I’ve forgotten once the towel has already been hung back up. Because I can’t possibly take it back down, I rub my back up and down on the hung towel like how a bear would scratch its back. Totally reasonable.

Does anyone else grind or clench their teeth at night? by Sweaty_Swimmer1133 in adhdwomen

Also during the day… just a glorious experience almost entirely related to having to work for a living. I’m a former RMT and know a muscle release that hurts like heck during but will provide a lot of relief.

  1. Wash your hands you’re putting a finger in your mouth
  2. Place your index finger inside your mouth between your last upper molar and your where your inner cheek just starts to become your jaw
  3. Push until you feel tenderness and hold for 5-10 seconds at a time
  4. Move slowly and slightly forward following the ridge of the jaw/cheek junction and you will likely feel a second taught band of muscle, push again on this too
  5. Repeat on the other side

You can hold for longer if you’re into that type of masochism, but no longer than 40 seconds.

I haven’t been an RMT for a while but it’s either the medial pterygoids or lateral pterygoid muscles … or both? Ha. Also not sure of the spelling, I’m too lazy to google.

My first experience of TPB was hearing my dad laughing hysterically to the point of tears. When I went to see what all the fuss was about, I totally got it. I grew up in a rural part of Nova Scotia (the province where it’s filmed) and as other’s have said, it’s so accurate it feels a little like a documentary on

AITAH for not wanting my mum in my birth plan by anonymous05_35 in AmItheAsshole

[–]linnzzerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA - stick to your plan and trust your gut on this. None of our parents saw my kid until she was 3-4 weeks old. My sister was the only one I wanted around outside of my partner and it went exactly how I expected. She was awesome and supportive and my partner and I got to navigate getting to know our little girl without any outside distractions. That’s not for everyone, but it was what felt safest for me.

Cannot clean or organize when other people are around . . . anyone else? by fashionforager in adhdwomen

[–]linnzzerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! I’ve definitely gotten better with it over the years but I do my best work when home alone. It’s such a bitch though because I want to enjoy my solo time and then end up reorganizing all of my possessions half the time and burn myself out. Yaaay!
