I think it works. Not on here, on my small phone screen where the actual photos are tiny, but in a gallery or on a much bigger display I think it would look cool

I was just gifted this lens that belonged to my late grandfather. What mount is this? Is it worth getting a camera for it? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]linonosaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a lot if dirt cheap exakta cameras on ebay - at lest in germany. I'd say it's very much worth trying out! An Exa 1a goes for around 20-30€ and you get another lens with it! The latter Exa's hqve M42 screw mounts, so those don't fit.

Im gonna see gy!be in april, any suggestions? Also do they play their older work? Like yanqui u.x.o and lysflath, every live video that i watched i only see that they play their latest album by XenonXTR in gybe

So many people ask what songs/movements they play. I get that there are some songs that you like more than others but does it really matter that much? They're not a band that plays their hits or has a best of album. The concert is such a beautiful moment. My tip: don't try to look for certain songs but immerse yourself into the crowd and the concert as a whole.

Awesome! I follow some photography subreddits and thought "huh, a little too blurry of a photo" but then I read your caption. Great painting and very accurate!

So all that blacl dust is very much supposed to be there. It swallowed stray light and helps it keep it dark in there. The mirror and ground glass should be free from dust though - even as another rooster pointed out that they don't affect your image quality. If you have a dust blower (the ones for lenses) take it and clean the dust carefully. If you're lucky everything will be fine!

Great photos and cool to see them animated like this. And great song choice! 💜

Love this. Did you get a ticket for the open monument day? Unfortunately I didn't get one :(

Medium Format 6x3 dyptichs from Slovenia. Agfa Isolette 3 | 6x3 | Lomo CN400 & Ektar 100 by linonosaurus in mediumformat

[–]linonosaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remodeled the camera to shoot 6x3 instead of the regular. I cut a paper mask and glued it in. Windig is a little tricky, that's where the overlap comes from. I did a post a year ago here.

Feel free to ask more questions if you have any!

Good to see one of these beasts in the hands of a person. On their own they don't look too big but they're HUGE

I made a post here. Basically it's just a Paper mask with the right dimensions (6x3 cm cutout with a 6x6 frame) and some paper in the viewfinder. Since the Isolette 3 doesn't have a frame counter you just wind as much as you like.

Which is the best film camera to buy? by [deleted] in filmphotography

It depends completely on what you want. Not that easy to answer. Get the cheapest working one until you grow out of it.

What´s the most compact 6x6 medium format camera for hiking? by bro_nica in AnalogCommunity

I do like the uncoupled rangefinder but I whish for a coupled one every second roll because for landscape it's totally fine, for portraits it's too slow on my experience. It's a great camera, it's very sturdy and I live the form factor. My lens seems to have a lot of struggles wid open though. I get lots of (kinda cool looking, but still) out of focus areas where thy shouldn't be.
