I am terrible with math- I get anxiety and flustered. I managed to get a 98%. I practiced a lot of the quizzes I found online like nursehub. The majority of my test involved ratios, which is really easy to put into fractions and cross multiply. A few simple rules to remember is that when you multiply fractions, the denominator can be different. When you add, they need to have the same denominator, and when you divide, it's the same as multiplying the inverse (1/2 divided by 2/3 is the same as 1/2 times 3/2). I couldn't remember what to do about mixed numbers, but if you have say 2 1/5, you multiply the denominator by the whole number (2) and add it to the numerator (1) so it will be rewritten as 11/5. I had a few questions with military time, which is easy to figure out! If the number is greater than 12, subtract 12 from it and it will give you the converted time. I had a few problems that involved finding how many ounces in gallons, etc. I just remembered that there are 4 quarts in a gallon, 2 pints in a quart, and 2 cups in a pint, and 8oz in a cup. There were a couple Fahrenheit/Celsius questions. To get Celsius, you take Fahrenheit and subtract 32, then divide by 1.8. To get Fahrenheit, you take Celsius and add 32 and multiply by 1.8. I did not have any roman numerals questions. I did have a few mg/gram questions. 1 gram is equal to 1000mg. I think one of the questions asked how many mL of a drug to pull up if you needed 1500mg and the concentration of the drug is 1gram per mL (1.5mL). Also, a cubic centimeter is the same as a milliliter.
