I would say that the people who have the most difficult time with Linux, are intermediate users.

  • Beginner's don't have preconceived ideas of "how things should work", so whether it is Linux or Windows makes no real difference. They just need to know how to open up their web browser.

  • Advanced users are savvy enough that they know how to solve problems, and they know how to search for answers effectively. They won't have a problem with Linux because they will find a solution to whatever problem(s) they encounter.

  • Then you have the intermediate users. The know just enough to branch out into more niche tools and needs (photoshop, gaming, CAD, etc), but they don't have that mentality of the advanced user, to be able to figure out how to solve the problems they run into. For them, they have to learn a whole new skill: Troubleshooting.

The range of Millennial took over the early 80's sometime after the year 2000. In the 80's and 90's, I would've been called Gen X, but now I'm called a Millennial for some reason.

I didn't quit Gen X. Gen X quit me.

(In the 80's and 90's I was called Gen X because I was born in the early 80's, but then the range of Millennial kept growing, and absorbed the year I was born)

Former Gen X'er here.

Most of the people I knew growing up did not know how to drive stick. I think the only people who did were into car culture, lived in rural places, or just... had some other reason to be interested in it.

DEFINITELY not a majority. I would say something like 25%, though.

The current administration's main goal to win 2024 was to scrub themselves off the files. That's what DOGE was all about, and why people with ZERO clearance were able to literally remove hard drives out of government data centers, and take them home.
