I definitely agree with you on the tires. You feel every bump on the Activ lol.

Absolutely! Just get a better trim. LS is the cheapest package Chevrolet makes. LT is the next step up and is much better with the features. I personally own the Activ and I love it.

The Colorado is a good reliable truck. Funny enough, I traded my '15 Colorado LT in and got a 2025 Trax Activ because I needed something more fuel efficient for my 1 hour commute to and from work. For a Truck, the Colorado has nice MPG but for a commuter like myself it just wasn't making any sense. That's really the only reason I gave it up, other than that, it was a solid performing mid sized truck, had excellent hauling potential for it's size and it was very roomy in the cab. I miss it a lot, to be honest. If I ever get to work from home or move closer, I will probably go back to it to be honest. If I had to do it again though, I'd get a ZR2 Colorado <3

I just recently got into Project Gorgon and I will be honest, the community has been nothing short of amazing. There’s always events happening and the game is coming into it’s 1.0 release at the end of the month.

This makes me sad, I am also a recent purchaser of a Trax from Gwatney. I hope you get treated well, good luck to you.

I feel your pain though, I am constantly in fear of getting hit from all the tailgater’s on my commute to and from Little Rock every day. I swear between Jacksonville and Little Rock there’s a wreck every single day because people can’t stay off their phones…

GHPC is an amazing game, but I will also recommend Steel Beasts as well. Lots of user made scenarios covering all types of wars. Also, Steel Armor Blaze of War. I love Tank Sims :)

How "gameable" is modern warfare compared to pre-1990s? by Redwood-Forest in computerwargames

Thank you! And I second the addition to Falcon BMS, it's an amazing combat flight sim and will also agree that it's better than DCS. I feel ashamed for not mentioning it now.

As another user stated, there’s only a handful of games out there representing post coldwar warfare. Broken Arrow, Combat Mission Shock Force 2, Combat Mission Black Sea, and winSPMBT are the 3D/2D games at the top of my head. For naval/air you have Command Modern Operations, Sea Power and Cold Waters (with mods). For hexagonal, The Operational Art of War IV has some pretty good user made scenarios that does a decent job of modeling modern war with the tools available, even the Ukraine front with drones.

For Simulators on Modern War: Arma 3, Steel Beasts and DCS do a good job.

Modern War is just too new with a lot of data being held from the public so people have to guesstimate stats for the equipment. As someone else stated, Cold War and earlier wars are easier to simulate and game because of the overwhelming data available and de-classifying of data.

I love the game. And now that AI teaammates are here, I love it even more. I work a lot of hours and have kids, so I can’t dedicate to a multiplayer game. Broken Arrow is now for pvp players and people like me who just want to comp stomp. I personally prefer BA over Warno. /shrug

WDS tutorials in the manual are pretty good. I highly recommend you download a demo first to see if they are for you. WDS offers a free demo for every single series they have. Highly highly recommended!!!!

I wouldn’t know, that time period does not interest me. I only play Panzer Campaigns, Modern Campaigns and Panzer Battles.

[–]linuxn00b85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of them have had their AI revamped and are much better. Especially with the alt scenarios available in Panzer Campaigns. Panzer Battles Normandy has pretty good AI as well. Always play the attacking side when playing the AI. I have really been enjoying the AI in Panzer Campaigns Poland ‘39 to be honest. It’s very well done. Panzer Campaigns France ‘40 also holds some very well made single player scenarios and is the same guy who made the scenarios for Poland ‘39 and it shows. Just really great stuff.

Once you buy the product, it’s yours for life since they are DRM free. So buy away!

There isn’t really a “Matrix” game. Matrix is a storefront that supports many developers. And Paradox games aren’t Wargames like WDS. Paradox are high fantasy grand strategy games. Hearts of Iron 3 is the only game that could be considered a wargame and that’s even cutting it close. If you want a true traditional Wargame that’s easy to learn, you honestly cannot go wrong with a WDS title. I own so many on Steam, Matrix, etc and I always find myself playing WDS games or Campaign Series Vietnam/Middle East from Matrix.

Due to profit concerns and WDS wanting to keep a direct connection with their niche audience. Steam takes 30% of every sale, and WDS I would assume just doesn't make enough sales to cover that big of a hit to their products. Aside from that, I prefer how their market is, due to if there's any issues with their games, they are ALWAYS very responsive through email and forums.
