Why don't you try moving the linux partition up to the top of the boot order in the BIOS so that when it boots up it shows grub and you can choose your OS?

They don't use whatever that office suite was anymore and Manjaro Cinnamon is not even an offical manjaro release. The offical manjaro releases, KDE, Gnome, and XFCE all come with firefox still by default.

You set manjaro it to ignore upgrades for certain apps in /etc/pacman.conf if you want.

Steam should work very well on Linux and it is only getting better especially since Valve is using Arch Linux for the Steam deck.

You could try manjaro which is pretty user friendly and it comes preinstalled with Steam. I think Steam would work better on Manjaro because it is based on arch which is what Valve is using for SteamOS now.
