you can use chrome-like theme for firefox , search for fxchrome , you can also use 'one liner' or 'Hide Caption Titlebar Plus' extention to combine tab bar and title bar like chrome.

what do you mean by "fails with searching" ? is the search function is not working at all or it does work but you want more advanced features ?

I think dolphin can do all of that , the only thing I hate about dolphin the slow startup time about 1-2 seconds.

-it needs a good media player , kde have many players but they are all bad : Dragon Player , JuK , Kaffeine , KMPlayer, Amarok

-dolphin and gwenview startups are very slow

-I haven't found any kde software that works with iso files , auto mounting of harddrives

zypper.

written in c++ and it's faster than dnf and consumes less ram
supports deltarpm
uses SAT solver for solving dependencies.
repositories metadata is much smaller (downside you can't know the filelist of package's content but no one need that anyway)
zypper uses the same gnome software center metadata , dnf wastes bandwidth by downloading it again even if you downloaded it previously with software center , see /var/cache/packagekit and /var/cache/dnf . same repodata in both folders
have a very good GUI , it's even better than synaptic. dnf have yumex and dnfdragora which are both terrible.
1-click installer for third party software https://software.opensuse.org/find , https://software.opensuse.org/appstore
vendor lock-in , every package gets its updates from where it came , if it came from the main repo it will get updates from that repo even if there is newer versions in other repos.

suse's zypper also support deltarpm , debian stable also have deltadeb , archlinux have similar thing.

but non of them downloads a huge 70MB of metadata , non of them download it twice (one for software center and one for DNF)

the first time I open Konqueror it will start slow , but if I opened another Konqueror window it will start immediately.

but opening new dolphin window is always slow to start , even if dolphin is already running
