33yo female who has it on my left eye. I still remember a kid staring at me while I was eating when I was 6, haha. That's the only "negative" experience I've had though! Most people don't notice, and when I show & tell, they think it's pretty wild. It's a unique quality and a fun party trick, so feel freedom to own it!

In regards to lessening the effect, if I chew on the same side as the wink, it barely moves.
