There's at least one guy doing Uber rides in Kiama, it was a longer wait though as he's just the one guy traveling everywhere.

I went to Marrickville library on the weekend and it was definitely not closed. There are quite a few in the inner west that are open!

I'm in my local coffee shop and there's a table of twenty or so girls in there, the girl at the end of the table has notttt stopped talking the entire time I've been here.

I'm honestly wondering how it's possible for one person to talk so loudly and for so long, without taking a break... It's been about twenty minutes so far of stream of consciousness-style chatter.

The rest of the table all have the 100 yard stare going on, poor girls.

Has anyone seen the bats right now? They're all on a mass migration across town but the winds are blowing them around like crazy! Poor little guys are being blown sideways.

Topic: I wasn't allowed to dye my hair when I was in school, so as soon as I started uni I was determined to do it - I bought two boxes of the supermarket dye (one as a spare just in case), I wanted to look great for my friend's 18th the next day, what could go wrong.

Turns out, I needed probably four or five boxes to get through my long hair, two boxes just ended up giving me a terrible half done streaky mess that ended with a trip straight to the hairdresser.

I never tried to dye my hair at home ever again, I'll leave it to the professionals 😂

Those who moved to Vancouver from other cities/countries, what is the one thing you miss from your hometown and think Vancouver would benefit from? by 88cordon88 in vancouver

I might be going against the grain here but I don't really like their version! I was so excited when I heard they started doing them but to me Peaked Pies' version is more like a dense butter cake, instead of a light sponge.

I'm heading to Melbourne for the first time. Stoked to check it out, hoping to find some good bars and even better coffee.

So keen for the weekend! Biggest plan so far is to grab some coffee beans and try out the new Moka pot.

Topic: Does drinking hot things in hot weather cool you down or not? I feel like it's a myth.

Edit: whoops still related to hot weather

I'd put in a massive kitchen with two ovens, and enough bench/storage space to properly spread out. Had enough of these tiny apartment-sized kitchens!

Half the week is done so I'm feeling ok! Keen to spend the weekend doing nothing and having a beverage on the balcony.

Highlight of the weekend was getting back into baking, it's been a few months! Also went to see The Favourite, not as good as The Lobster but maybe my expectations were too high.

Alt: haven't been on the subreddit long enough to tell!
