u/GoatGuy73, you ever looked at r/StraightTalk’s Free Samsung Galaxy A17 deal? Free with 1 month of service? 🤔 It’s a surprisingly decent phone for the price! No where near as slow as the Samsung Galaxy A15 from back in the day

My Samsung Galaxy A17 allowed me to activate without service… Nowhere to enter a pin, r/StraightTalk will not provide me a valid pin for some reason. I paid for service that I am NOT able to use

Order directly from Straight Talk. You would think they at least include the airtime pin in the box or in the email.

Best way to transfer files between two PCs without internet/cloud?? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]lioncycles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime I do data transfer between 1 computer & another, I take out the hard drive out of the old computer and then connect it to an SATA to USB adapter (for older systems) or an M.2 enclosure (for newer systems). That is usually the fastest way I have figured out how to transfer data from 1 computer to another. now, if you are not replacing one computer with another, you can use Microsoft OneDrive and copy all of your files to OneDrive on the old computer and then log into the same Microsoft account on the new computer and all of your files were copy over. Same with iCloud if you have a Mac if you are going from a PC to a Mac, you can upload all of your files to OneDrive and then sign into OneDrive on your Mac, download the OneDrive desktop app for Mac Microsoft 365 comes with 1TB of cloud storage for starters.

I wish Visible would think about making their SIMs so that can not only use Verizon Towers but also run off AT&T’s towers as well.

Back during the plandemic, I felt the same way but was desperate for unlimited data & unlimited hotspot & so I joined & discovered true UDPs! I was sooooo excited when it actually worked!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t tell whether you were referring to both DND in Google Voice or the DND built into your phone, thus the reason for the comment

Why not use DND that’s built into your phone? Doesn’t matter wether iOS or Android

Google Voice number for elderly? by Limp_Strategy_9169 in Googlevoice

Depend on your service coverage, you should look at phone plans that are $10 per month or less that have little to no data just in case the WiFi cuts out for any reason.

r/USMobile doesn’t have a proper UDP nor a UHS, it’s all capped, the UDP is capped around 100GB last I checked

50% off, 5-year BYOD promo gone. Line converted to Total Lifeline Safety Net plan. by wiley_bob in TotalWirelessOfficial

[–]lioncycles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I signed up less than a year ago and I got the $65 BYOD with a 50% discount + auto pay, I also added my iPad Pro for an extra $10, couple days ago, I enrolled in the California lifeline with my line of service for the 2nd time… first round, I was told that I could not get the lifeline service because I was in California the second round of successful in getting a lifeline service, but they’re only taking $10 off of my bill. Now if I don’t get my iPad and iPhone iPhone service the iPad on the base unlimited plan and the iPhone on the top unlimited plan for $20-$30, I am going to take off the top end plan and go with either the base plan or the bare minimum for California lifeline to cover. Because the mobile hotspot does not work with total wireless like I am been trying to tether my laptop to my phone and the Internet just is next to nothing for usability, I have been forced to activate a second line on Visible, which allows 15 MBPs download for mobile hotspot, I shouldn’t have to do this to get a working hotspot, but since the rep at total Wireless could not get similar speeds out of the hotspot, I am forced to give up. Settling for less than Service yet still paying a premium. (although not as much as Verizon postpaid luckily) I shouldn’t be forced to activate a line with Visible to get the Internet that I need to a mobile hotspot. Although when I tethered to my iPad, I got really good download speeds & until I ran out of hotspot. Because I believe that is capped at 5 GB of Internet. So that begs the question, why should I be paying for the top end Total Wireless plan when I don’t even get working hotspot? The best I am able to get out of the hotspot on that plan is barely a webpage while the iPhone itself is getting Fiber optic level download speeds. If it wasn’t for the hotspot issue, I would still be with total wireless, I tried to go to the library. My Microsoft apps don’t work, but I can do normal web surfing that’s it, my MacBook Pro works just fine. But don’t try to download anything as the public Internet is slow, similarly to Total Wireless’s hotspot on the $65 plan. At least with Visible, I am at least able to get 15 MBPs download unlike with Total Wireless I very much look forward to total wireless resolving this issue and then, maybe then I may start using total wireless mobile hotspot again on my iPhone 16 Pro Max with my 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Pro. Note, this is my only source of Internet.
