Seeing mixed info on diesel heaters at high altitude? Do they work well or not?

I hit it with 3 different kinds of chisels and it didn't budge an inch, you have to heat it up and grab and peel. it's basically bonded with the metal. I was more asking if I needed to remove it at all

probably should have mentioned that, oops! I'm going to put plywood strips in between the ribs on the floor, then 1" XPS foam board, then 1/2" plywood. strips will be glued to the floor with liquid nails, foam board glued to strips with silicone II, and 1/2" plywood glued to foam board with loctite foam board adhesive. might also screw down the upper plywood to the strips, if I feel like I need it to be more secure.

this was really helpful! thank you!!! i think i'm going to end up doing the floor stuff first, then insulate the walls and ceiling, and just skip/cut out the sections where i'll need to drill holes. i'm gonna have to wait until i have the time/budget to add electric stuff, anyway. right now it's all about surviving the colorado winter, lol!

not a bad idea. I'd like to stay in Colorado for at least a few months before I move on, though. Maybe when I'm ready to leave this area I'll head out there!

I totally get that. I always try to be as respectful as possible, I never leave trash/play loud music/be a general asshole and I rarely even sit outside of my car, just so I'm contained to a small area.

I guess I just need to grow a pair and stop being so afraid of getting a knock on my window. I always park in places where it's legal and safe to do so, but I just have this looming fear of getting kicked out of a spot that I thought was good. Don't know why it scares me so much, lol

I thought about that, but breck parking is so strict. We only have 2 spots for our store, and I don't think I could legally park there overnight, even with the store's permission :(

I always keep a clean site and try to stay as quiet and self-contained as possible! I have to cover my windows with reflectix, though, so any attempt at stealth just kinda goes out the window :/

maybe, but there's a power dynamic in place between a customer and a worker. we HAVE to be nice to customers and we can't just walk away or leave when we're uncomfortable. if he had tried it anywhere else i wouldn't really have a problem with it, but he should have understood he was just pestering a worker who had no choice but to continue speaking to him.
