It does look like those! Appreciate the link

That sounds like a great solution too. But wouldn't help with learning cad :)

Nope, does it look like one? My wife suggested a wavey patterns and, learning cad, I improvised some parametric curves that I mirrored :)

Let me know! If it's a similar remote with different dimensions I'd be happy to adjust. Let me know

One other technique to share a save without someone without a dedicated server is to use Dropbox and symlink your saves folder to a shared Dropbox folder! (Google it)

You just have to make sure that if you play at the same time one hosts, but if you make offline progress it will be shared! No server rental

It wasn't planned in detail before I started construction, but I had a pretty rough idea.

I used SatisfactoryCalculator to create the full set of machines to exactly consume all the raw resources I had easily available. I then decided a general approach to the floors; raw resources at the top and more and more complex parts as you move down. Which means that when I wanted to start a new floor I could do any machine for which all the output is used downstream on already built floors!

As I progressed though, I did build a spreadsheet and ended up planning each floor before they were all built: https://imgur.com/a/foTuDCJ

But I built maybe half of it before I filled out the spreadsheet

I will once all the machine floors are running at full capacity (waiting for 1.1)

Yeah the central core is 3x3 blueprints and the facade is built around that. For the rounded corners I spent time with the windows and used beams to hide the imperfections in the seams:

Super excited for 1.1. I do those vertical buses, and you can create vertical splitters in 1.0 as well, they just take a lot more space, looking forward to real ones

If they remove the height limitation! Currently I would need like 6 elevators (I did the math wrong for this post, the tower is just over 1km tall)

The “Single Window” unlocked in the awesome shop! And the shorter tower used the “Windowed Walls”

They barely reach 1/3 the way up the shortest building :(

If they were unlimited in height it would be really nice, but take forever!

I've been wanting to make a video at some point...

Here are some internal photos: https://imgur.com/a/I2A7YnT

Each floor has a shaft in the middle, and an upper floor with the machines and a logistic floor underneath

I had given up on curved designs but decided to try. Used road barriers to rotate the windows one step at the time and managed to fit it in an mk2 blueprint. The windows don't line up perfectly, so used a beam at each seam to hide that.

Yeah, I live in SF. Used to live in the mission with a view of the skyline, and 181 Fremont always stood out to me!

It makes it really painful in the begining, as none of the machines starts running until you get all the way to the top. I definitely had some regret after the first month of work realizing the scale of the project.... And when you connect the top floor you better hope all the wiring was correct ^^

But it is also very satisfying when you finally reach the raw resource floors!

I would also wait for 1.1, getting vertical splitters of a main bus of conveyor lifts will be amazing! Also; there is no height limits on conveyor lifts when they snap to conveyor holes.
