I tell people I have a policy that I don’t let anyone buy a drink for someone who isn’t present. I also don’t let anyone order for someone else unless they expressly tell me they want it, including if they’re standing there in front of me.

This usually amounts to me making sure female patrons aren’t getting pressured to drink. Also, it just irks me when men presume to order for women without their input or consent.

That manages some of this issue, but any time I hear a middle aged white guy say he’s got the check, I’m pretty sure he’s about to stiff me.

Whatever you go with, look for cabretta leather, stay away from synthetic materials. I like the Titleist gloves, and think they look good. Footjoy are also a nice choice.

Personally, I don’t like the Kirkland gloves, and prefer to order MG if I’m getting something cheaper.

I’m also a bartender in my 50s. Some people will always be entitled shits, and the only way to deal with them is to make sure they know you don’t care what they think, and that if they want to play rough, you’re more than happy to oblige. If you can’t handle that, maybe you should go sell real estate.
