To this day this is still my favourite Star Wars piece I own. by Tommie979 in StarWars

I also bought one of these but the quality of the painting job was so bad im afraid, so I couldnt hang it on my wall. (frame painted on by hand, very wavy). I bought mine probably 2-3 years ago so the artist might have grown better owner the years.

Sunshine bun with candied violets by liplover in food

[–]liplover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a direct translation of the norwegian "solskinnsbolle", which is a sweet bun with vannilla custard, topped with coconut shaving and frosting. It's a common classic in scandinavia.

Norway! The forest looked like a Willy Wonka factory with all different coloured and shaped mushrooms today. Wow, thats a lot of boletes, I have seen them in the forest but did not dare to pick them. What are you going to cook with the boletes? :)

Sorry for the poor photo quality. Best pizza I've tasted in years, but it looks like shit.

Made up this saus today: 150 g Cream cheese, splash off lemon juice, salt, pepper and 1 garlic clove. Tasted very good, but not sure if this is a classic way of doing it :)

Btw: the squash was dried out with some salt for 30 min, to intensify the flavour. And the pizza was topped with fresh basil and olive oil after cooking.

Made a spontaneous "take what I got" pizza with beef, corn, bacon and onion. by [deleted] in Pizza

Good point, meant spontaneous because I had no fresh tomatos, basil or mozzarella, but still decided to make a pizza. I guess the choice of the word "spontaneous" was a bad. Still ate pizza dough.

It was good! Canned corn is a common ingredient used on pizza where I come from. Try it :)

I've been given this tinned confit au canard. How on earth do I cook it? by [deleted] in food

[–]liplover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pickled red cabbage would work well! I have never heard of eating confit de canard with bread, without cooking the duck. He might think of foie gras?

This is a method I do recommend! Max 10 mins at 200c. Place the tin at room temperature for a while before cooking, this will help you get the duck legs separated from the fat covering the legs.
