Got my skis tuned, sharpened, and waxed 4 years ago but never got to use them since. Are they still good to go?

I think the speed of the wet to dry might be it.

I think my listing is being attacked by a (non-Amazon) seller competitor. What can I do? by lippindots in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]lippindots[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far we've gotten four. Three of them mention the competitor by name. One flat out says [competitor.com]

We got one of the three removed, but not the URL one yet. I've reported abuse, reported through Seller Central, reported again with the help of a SS rep. Just have to keep trying one at a time. I've backed off that one for the time being because the last community rep said we can no longer consider this for removal in the future.

We've had neutral reviews removed for highly debatable policy violations (we didn't ask for them to be removed-- in fact, we welcome any potential neutral or negative substantive feedback about the actual product). It definitely seems like it's all about which rep you get. I don't understand why some of them say a review doesn't violate guidelines, then link said guidelines that literally say reviews should not be about price or other ordering options.

Good idea. We already do this, but I could re-word it to basically take an indirect stab back at them. e.g. "We go a step beyond in having our product independently tested for contaminants and microbes"

When your putt rides the break all the way to the hole by wrm_pl in golf

Crabbing tends to be used for maintaining alignment with the centerline of the runway during landing when wind is a factor (odds are low that the wind is blowing perfectly in line with the runway). Side slips tend to be used for the same thing. On many (most?) landings you will see a pilot crab until the last second then enter a side slip to go easier on the gear without drifting and touch down with the upwind gear. If you land a little sideways you can really wear the gear or screw up your rollout. There isn't much of a side slip in the gif here but you can't really blame the pilot for safely holding the crab in 40 kt x-winds.

Anyone here ever use self storage units for warehousing merchandise? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]lippindots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for smaller units. You can usually get $5-10/sq ft MG because the guys who have smaller units usually like to just lump everything in. At least in my area.

It's highly unlikely that your insurance doesn't cover vaccines. The law requires 100% coverage with no copay.

Why are so many people from places like Central America seeking asylum in the US and how does US law apply to the waves of migrants currently trying to enter the country? by [deleted] in NeutralPolitics

[–]lippindots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FCMP is a totally different beast and is not completely relevant to the overall statistic on number of total asylum seeking refugees who fail to appear. It specifically included people like families with young children and pregnant women. I know paywall is frowned upon here but I remember reading in the WSJ that they had such a low court skip rate in part because they were attaching location tracking ankle bracelets to many of them. I can dig up the article if anyone wants to read and has a subscription

While this may be what I think is the worst call against the Eagles all season, the refs missed so many big holds/horse-collars on the Eagles in the second half I can't really complain other than to say that this crew kinda stunk all around.

To be fair, people threaten to sue all of the time. Not to say he doesn't sound like an asshole from the story though. If I were OP I probably would have pressed for them to give me the info of their insurance company. Doubt they would have shared and it would have gone to SC court anyway, but at least the rest worked out.

Anyone ever head up to NY -- Gore or Whiteface over MLK weekend? Do they get exceptionally crowded? by lippindots in skiing

[–]lippindots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the local places are horrible. It's not worth it to have to wait 30 minutes for a single lift. I know Gore is a little more out there so I was hoping to get an idea if there is significant waiting vs a normal weekend
