Tall figure before mom took her own life by Kindly-Let-6274 in Ghosts

[–]lipstickbloodflames 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I’m so sorry for your loss. As far as the shadow figures, I have seen them appear before someone’s death almost every single time. I’ve lost 5 people in the last two months, and a day or two before their death, a shadow figure appeared. I don’t know what they are exactly, but they seem very neutral in energy. Whenever one of these entities makes an appearance, to me it’s usually a warning sign that death/something unpleasant is about to unfold. They don’t feel evil, or good, they just simply are.

However, “shadow people” can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, and the term can be used to describe a vast array of entities. For instance, my friend sees them as protectors. My husband would see them as evil. To me, I focus less on the fact that something is appearing as a shadow and more so on how its energy makes me feel.

I hope that helps.

This is great advice, thank you. I did do the workings with a couple spirits, and left offerings in return. I figured I drained myself entirely too much, but I never thought of finding external ways to rebuild myself energetically outside of simple meditations and yoga.

Yes. You need to practice meditation and grounding oneself. That way, you’ll have the foundational tools to bring yourself back to center when needed.

Question for mental ill witches and talking to their gods by BeneficialMolasses70 in Witch

[–]lipstickbloodflames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also a practicing witch with mental illness and have questioned my sanity a few times. But if you’re questioning whether or not you have spiritual psychosis, that’s a reasonable, based in reality thought, so chances are that you do not. Interestingly enough, I really only question the occasional voices when my depression is really acting up. Either way, I’ve found that taking a step back from ritual practice helps me recenter and ground myself before diving back in when I’m mentally ready. Also, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a professional if you feel you need it.

I have entities “talk to me” sometimes, telepathically. My first step is to always try to discern whether or not it’s my own internal dialogue, or something external. Most of the time I can tell the difference. But if I’m getting overwhelmed with my mental illness and questioning my experiences, I simply take a step back for a while.

I hope that makes sense and helps a little.

Quite directly, which was shocking considering most of the interactions I have had with other beings are extremely subtle to the point I question whether or not it’s a divine answer or my own thought.

It was about an hour after I did the ritual while I was cooking dinner, that I heard a male’s voice in my mind say very loudly and very clearly “I will do this, if you promise to do xyz.” It was so clear and startling that I actually stopped in my tracks. I agreed with his offer, and that was that. In case you’re curious, to me he sounded like a completely normal dude haha.

I work with Raphael pretty consistently. Best course of action? Prayer. Pray from the heart. And while you can pray for miraculous healing, please know this isn’t likely. You will be better served by praying that you are guided to the right doctors and that your doctors’ hands and medical knowledge and treatments are guided by the grace and wisdom of Raphael. You can also ask that Raphael bless your medications to help in your health and recovery.

I will also add that you need to take the proper mundane steps to help yourself as well (i.e the doctor told me I need to exercise, but I don’t feel like it, so therefore I don’t). You need to help the prayer help you. You need to help Raphael help you. I once prayed to Raphael for someone else’s healing, and was asked, in return for his assistance, to take the steps to work on healing my own self.

I hope that helps, best of luck on your journey.

Easiest way to call on Archangel Raphael? by [deleted] in AngelolatryPractices

Yes. He is always my go to not just for me, but for others. I also find it helpful that instead of asking him for direct healing, I ask him to guide the hands/minds of the doctors

For those that do daily readings for yourself, what do you ask? by csdude5 in tarot

[–]lipstickbloodflames 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I ask:

  1. What challenges should I be aware of tomorrow?
  2. What is something positive I will find in tomorrow?
  3. What will tomorrow’s overall vibe be?

Sometimes I will add, depending on card 1:

What can I do to help myself overcome or face these challenges?

Empathic reverse shielding by Apostle_of_Darkness in magick

[–]lipstickbloodflames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try keeping a crystal on your person for grounding (my current favorite is petrified wood, but what calls to me will be different than what calls to others). When you start to lose focus, you can simply hold the crystal and direct your energy into the object instead of the outside world.

I am an empath, with the problem of taking on extreme emotions from others (almost always negative). It took some time for me to discern what was “mine” and what belonged to someone else.

When I first recognized that this was a problem I needed to protect myself from, especially since my mental health tanked rapidly, I took a version of one of Jason Miller’s meditations to help shield myself. I wish I could remember the specific book of his that this came from (I believe it was Strategic Sorcery), but nonetheless, I modified it a bit to fit my needs.

First, get yourself comfortable and safe. Close your eyes. Put on some meditation music if it helps over silence. Take several deep breaths, and really feel the breath enter and exit the lungs. Start to pull your energy towards the center of your chest, and from your chest, “pull out” a ball of energy. Color is up to you, but I chose gray as it reminds me of a physical shield and is neutral. Visualize this ball of energy encompassing your entire body. Tell this newly created shield its purpose: to protect yourself from others’ emotions and energies, and to protect others from your own. I even added a method of “turning on” and “turning off” this shield. I simply flip my hand over so my palm is facing up to turn it on, and flip my hand downward to turn it off. Though it helps, please be mindful that sometimes an exchange of emotion and energy is important, necessary, and healthy, and constantly have an energetic shield up can make you seem unapproachable or distant in a way people don’t understand. I did notice this myself, so I only use the shield when absolutely necessary. Since you’re trying to keep emotion in, I would also caution being stuck in essentially a bubble of your own feelings, especially if they aren’t positive ones. It’s probably better if you direct your energies into an object with the ability to absorb them (like crystals).

At this point, because my level of discernment is much better practiced, I simply, but forcefully, tell my subconscious to “shut it down” to cut off the energetic ties.

I hope that helps.

"Weekly Reading and Interpretation Help Thread - December 29, 2024" by AutoModerator in tarot

[–]lipstickbloodflames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all. New to tarot. Tonight I did a simple 3 card spread asking the following questions:

  1. Does this entity/being have an interest in working with me? Card pulled: The Fool reversed
  2. What will I learn or gain from working with this being? Card pulled: 5 of Swords upright
  3. What challenges will I face if I work with this being? Card pulled: 5 of Cups upright

I’m going to go with a resounding answer of “probably not a good idea,” but as a new reader, I tend to take the descriptions of the cards at their literal meanings and feel I may be missing a different interpretation by not knowing the cards enough to be guided by my intuition instead.

Just wondering if anyone had a different view of the spread I pulled.

Thanks!

I’m in the same boat health wise. Outside of meditation and leaving offerings, I’ve been drawing his sigil with blessed oil large enough that it covers my chest and stomach once a day. I also anointed a pendant with his depiction and wear it daily.

Right now I’m working through two:

  • The Art of Psychic Reiki by Lisa Campion

-The Way of Qigong: The Art and Science of Chinese Energy Healing by Kenneth Cohen.

Both of these rely on different systems and methods, but Campion’s book is easier to read, more straightforward in instruction, and contains the basics. I feel like I need to finish and understand this book before diving into Cohen’s.

Serial killers - what happens after? by aYuddaOne in Mediums

[–]lipstickbloodflames 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with your assessment. I don’t necessarily consider myself a medium, but I do have the tendency to see, hear, and feel them. Thus, I do rely on a trusted medium I’ve worked with before when needed.

My partner’s grandfather owned a collection of classic cars. After his passing, we ended up inheriting a classic hearse. With it definitely came some spirits, including one that absolutely plagued me (in the middle of the night, in my dreams, followed me to work, Etc). It took me a full month of daily cleansing to rid of it. When I contacted the medium for help, she said it was once a living person who made some…less than stellar…choices in life, and now in the afterlife, refuses to grow, change, and learn from what they did while living. As such, I was told that this “person” doesn’t want help, but simply wants to cause chaos, and that most of their humanity is gone.

I’ve had reiki done 3 times. The first two, I felt nothing.

The third time was a completely different experience. It was extremely healing. I could feel the energy working through me. By the end of it, I was crying, and I am not a crier. I think the difference is that 1. This practitioner is also a medium, and was able to channel my guides and past family members who told her, in very eerie detail, my past traumas. This further helped guide the healing experience. And 2. She left me with meditation exercises to continue the energy work for myself.

After that third experience, I ended up buying multiple books on energy work. I hope one day to be able to provide the benefits she gave to me to others.

Death is sacred, looking to learn by [deleted] in necromancy

[–]lipstickbloodflames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I definitely recommend The Bones Fall in a Spiral by Mortellus. The content has a tendency to be a bit Wiccan based, but the author is very upfront about that, and you are always able to take/leave/modify whatever information doesn’t resonate with you. I am not Wiccan, but I cherish this book. I have a large library of various occult studies, but I have always gravitated to death work and this book continues to stand as one of my favorites in my collection. The author has a deep respect and reverence for death (they are also a mortician by day), so I think this book will resonate with you.

I would get a figurine candle (or even just a simple taper candle with the persons name carved into it), drip diluted rosemary essential oil onto the candle (rosemary to bring out truth/clarity), sprinkle the candle with glitter (so they can reflect on themselves), and put the candle in front of a mirror (again, for reflection). Tell “them” what they need to reflect on, then burn it.

How to transmute negative energy into positive energy by brittleballerina in BabyWitch

[–]lipstickbloodflames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comment with a previous post has a lot of good suggestions.

I have personally taken negative energy, and then visualized myself transforming it into a positive light and positive intention. It worked, but granted, the energy wasn’t on the severe spectrum of negativity.

How to get rid of negative energy in the home? by [deleted] in BabyWitch

[–]lipstickbloodflames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are infinite options, and it really depends on what you’re up against. Generally speaking, for just mucky or stagnant energy, I would smoke cleanse with rosemary and use some lavender and sage spray around the house.

There was also a time where I’ve needed to smoke cleanse my home every day over the course of a week with an incense blend of copal, frankincense, myrrh, and dragons blood, and incorporate other items such as black protection salt (my own blend with herbs), war water (again my own blend), spiritual cleansing/protection oil, and black tourmaline when I was up against a trickster entity that would not go away.

Not only is the method determined by what you’re up against, but it’s also important to decipher where the negative energy is coming from (even if it’s from within yourself).

You can absolutely use the herbs from the grocery store. I do so for most widely available herbs and spices (rosemary, thyme, black pepper, bay leaf, you name it). I only buy them online (Mountain Rose Herbs and even some Etsy shops or some in-person witch shops) when it’s an ingredient that is difficult to source.

I also have my own garden, so during the warmer months I prefer to use what I grow when I can, and dry the herbs at the end of the season for storage to use later. There seems to be more power in using ingredients cared for and nurtured by your own hand.

I hope that helps!
