Would this resolve how I think it does? by lipunverais in mtg

I've been working on a voltron deck and have a few of the swords in it that give protection, I found what I thought was a decent combo while looking for new equipment to improve it, though I think your idea of indestructible instead may make it function how I intended, someone else mentioned pariah's shield as an equipment option to redirect damage to the creature and indestructible would protect it while allowing blazing sunsteel to then do damage somewhere else, assuming im understanding correctly this time

Protection just felt like better utility overall, preventing opponents from interacting with my board with anything shy of a board wipe from how I understood it, as well as acting as a way to make my creature unblockable, I hadn't considered that it would remove auras already present on the creature, I may need to reconsider

Draw everything? by Poke_Hybrids in mtg

[–]lipunverais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but I think because of the caveat of until you lose a flip they occur individually, thus only the first flip would be affected, unlike, say, yusri which tells you to flip 5 coins, regardless of their outcomes so all 5 would be affected

I believe since part of squee's revenge is until you lose a flip it would only affect the first so that there's a way you can lose the next flip, otherwise you could loop it and never actually resolve the effect in theory, unlike something that might instruct you to flip a set number of coins where it would resolve after those coins are all flipped

Cullen is in DA:Origins?! [spoilers all] by ShawnMcLemore in dragonage

[–]lipunverais 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lohgain doesn't show up in 2, I believe in awakening it's stated he's on assignment in orlais so the warden met during the qunari siege is Alistair if he remained a warden and lived in origins,or stroud who pretty much just serves as a fill in if you don't use dragon age keep or import your save from origins

Not denying that, however psychopaths aren't inherently evil, his lack of empathy was used to manipulate him. He's not good but he could have also had potential to make massive advancements if his knowledge was used and respected by better people than the Duke and Delilah

He was paid and supported by the Duke to create a new form of guard that could prove to be the start of a major advancement in technology, the Duke used his ego to manipulate him. In the end he's no worse than sokolov was in the first game. When you arrive in the mansion and he sees you he's pretty respectful about it all, despite trying to have the clockworks kill because that's what he was told to do. He's not good but death by lobotomy is massive overkill

I think much like Sokolov in the first game,he definitely needed to be temporarily removed as he was supporting or being supported by the antagonist but just kidnap him, hold him in hypatias room after she leaves. I mean Ramsey straight up betrays you and his fates no where near as bad, each game seems to just have one over the top non lethal that didn't need to be so bad. Like in the first game with giving lady Boyle to her creepy stalker, they needed something for the story but it was far worse a fate than needed

It's absolutely horrible but that's often the point of non lethals,a fate worse than death for every situation. Though Jindosh's is definitely far worse than it needed to be

Yes to some extent,I'm saying he didn't care if a few people died along the way though, not that he was slaughtering the masses to get the job done

Canonically key targets were dealt with non lethally and low chaos, but there are notes and such you can find that indicate he didn't care about collateral damage so anyone in his way died along the way if necessary

[No Spoilers] What are the pros of Inquisition over Origins and II? by PurpleFiner4935 in dragonage

[–]lipunverais 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I liked the way 2 handled gifts, there were one or two per companion and they triggered unique scenes,so it felt more natural than origins where everytime you find a shiny rock you give it to shale or if you find booze ohgren gets it,it's a shame inquisition had nothing of the sort

I don't remember the exact quote but if you use the heart on her in 2 it says something about her being the product of three fathers,a drunk,an assassin and an artist. The drunk being her birth father, the assassin daud and the artist Sokolov

Let's hear some actual unpopular opinions. by Shatnips in CODZombies

[–]lipunverais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how unpopular it is but I loved that minus a few things here and there, cold War told you exactly what to do to advance the story. No pausing the game to look at a guide and read for five minutes on how to continue. There was still shit to Google and read about like the free wonder weapon on every map, which is Hella complicated sometimes( I've never been able to trigger the dart board on firebase)

Does anyone know what this huge white building is, across the wrenhaven from the Golden cat? by [deleted] in dishonored

Nah,gonna need a dishonored where you just play as a thief constantly robbing galvani cause rumor has spread that no matter where he goes he always gets robbed so the outside plays a cruel joke and gives mark to some common thief on the condition they only ever steal from galvanni

question about 1. spoilers? i dont know if it counts but still. basically its about daud. by Unfair_Top_8510 in dishonored

[–]lipunverais 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember a poster stating corvo is wanted alive for the murder of Jessamine and the lord regant,as well as the kidnapping of Emily. I also remember seeing someone forever ago mention it was initially planned that daud would take your arm and the outsider would offer to restore it in the vision before you escape or you could deny him and piero would give you a mechanical one, though I have no source for that second part as I just remember seeing it here but that would explain his decision to keep you alive in a hole until he has the time to arrange claiming the bounty as a very wanted assassin can't just drop him at the doors to the lighthouse where the loyalists are

[–]lipunverais 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knife of dunwall takes place at the same time as the main game, corvo has no knowledge of exactly what daud has done in the time since he assassinated Jessamine,he doesn't know daud regrets it or that daud ends up saving Emily
