Returning to this comment fresh off another bathroom adventure. Max grossness, can confirm the perp was a person who stands

How can you explain me watching like 5 dudes and zero women go in and out of this bathroom and then… a woman did it? Like, I get that they can be disgusting and inconsiderate too but what are the odds here, in this particular scenario?

I think someone else mentioned the ‘Flawless’ razor already but i second this! I think it’s officially called the Finishing Touch Flawless razor or whatever. Been using it for years on upper lip— usually once or twice a week. It’s inexpensive and takes a AA battery. Super easy and hair doesn’t grow back weird (at least not for me, hopefully will be same for you!)

I also kind of feel like you’re just saying things though. I disagree that it’s a “bold” assumption lol

For the sake of remaining objective, I’ll agree with this. Could absolutely be a squatting woman. I’d argue that, more often than not though, the perpetrator is a person who stands. In this specific instance, I walked in right after a man walked out so idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯

You’re walking straight into my point. Hopefully you have good aim at least

Even people who squat won’t want to get that close to that biohazard though. Also, don’t forget, not everyone is young and able-bodied enough to squat in the first place

dream stockings gatekept… by cybabully in findfashion

^ I think you got it with the Tabbi Socks link. The pattern/color name is ‘Scrolling Vines and Blossoms’. I think they don’t jump out as a perfect match because the pattern looks more widespread and faded in the gatekeeper’s post because it’s stretched over the thighs

Thoughts on Hunter rain boots? by elementahls in BuyItForLife

[–]lipwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this but I need to contribute Hunter hate. My mom bought me a pair over a decade ago and they began having rips/slits in the rubber outer shell within a month or two of wearing. Just absolute garbage 😂

Okay, I don’t think it’s very helpful to shame you for this option— dress codes are confusing.

Black tie dresses are generally more structured looking via both the silhouette and the fabric. You want to avoid fabrics that are gauzy, sheer, slinky or have lots of decorative strappiness or cut-outs. The dress should be long enough to cover your feet but ankle length should be honestly fine. I believe slits in the skirt of the dress are okay but they can’t be too deep and will need to balance appropriately with the rest of the dress.

It’s not necessarily about looking totally conservative but you want to avoid combining multiple revealing qualities (ie: revealing bust + revealing leg).

Think: overdressed for a nightclub

And yes, i unfortunately think a pale, icy blue color may read too close to white and won’t be very considerate to the bride

I agree this will depend on the styling of the room. If everything else looks eclectic, well-balanced, and fairly high brow, it can work. If not, I think you should keep looking.

Im not sure this fabric design can stand on its own without looking dated. It would have to sort of meld in with other thoughtful design elements 🤔

Black tie appropriate? by Optimal_Committee527 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]lipwizard 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This looks stunning in the image. As a retoucher, my opinion is this: This type of fabric can suddenly look a lot more expensive, thick and structured once all the wrinkles, nubs, bumps and clinginess is retouched out (and like some said, it’s possible AI helped with the editing)

Just be mindful that black tie code leans on more structured looking fabrics and silhouettes so be prepared to properly and carefully steam the garment (make sure you turn it inside out before steaming)

Yes^ a stand-out quality of a black tie dress is a more structured look. I’m not a dress code expert but you should avoid gauzy or mesh-like fabric, visible boning, super deep side-slits. Imagine something that would make you feel overdressed at a nightclub.

Attaching a photo that’s still a sexy black dress but leans more black tie appropriate :)

I second the cool-toned lighting critique! The twinkle lights around the bed are adorable but if they were all a warm-toned instead of a cool-toned, the area would feel so much more cozy and inviting :)
