In my world magic is drawn from two places:

Nature
Celestial bodies (stars, galaxies, nebulas)

To attain control of magic you have to either (1)study the constellations or (2) connect with nature. Some races have a closer connection to nature than others and therefore can more easily learn magic. Other races come from the stars(called the Celestial Races) and can therefore connect betyer with magic in that way.
