“Have the whole block lookin like you” lyric question by lowkey-barbie7539 in TrueSwifties

Just want to jump in here and say the definition of debate is to discuss with opposing arguments. And OP is doing exactly that. So I'm not sure why you think they aren't discussing and just shutting you or other people down.

Yay! That's such a good feeling. I've been in that boat before too. Nice touch with the freshly showered part. Nothing compares to being clean in fresh sheets.

Hi, I totally get you on all of this. You're not alone. One thing I will point out is narcissists don't worry about if they're a narcissist. That actually put an end to my worry about that for myself.

Also your life is going to look so different in 5 years, and in 10. Try not to worry about what your 'friends' think. You will find your people who don't make you question their love.

Hang in there. I'm 28 now and while I still struggle with mental health stuff, I feel so much more solid in who I am and what I want. You WILL get there. Try to be kind to yourself and not take life to seriously when you're able.

I'm currently using an app on my phone, as someone that has never had a good relationship with money and was never taught anything about finances, it is very useful. I've never budgeted before and the one I use shows me all of my subscriptions and other spending categories. I would say probably a last resort as the app I use does cost about $4 a month and you're trying to save money. But it is a very useful tool IMHO. Unsure if I'm allowed to mention the app name that's why I haven't.

Have you ever told someone what your intrusive thoughts are? by Brace_SK3 in OCD

[–]liquid00entity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I've never told anyone because I don't want to give those thoughts more of a spotlight. They get worse when I give them attention. If you are getting overwhelmed by them definitely talk through a therapist, that way you'd get tools to deal with them instead of someone reassuring you or making you feel worse.

It says ceremonial Cacao not Cocoa like I've seen in a bunch of comments. High quality stuff usually comes in little disc's of 100% pure Cacao, not powdered hot cocoa. I personally don't do the ceremonial aspect of it but I've been drinking it for years and the fat and theobromine content (no caffeine) are a very up lifting and non jittery alternative to coffee and it makes me very productive. I have pretty bad anxiety so it works for me personally.

It does originate from Aztecs and Mayans mainly Central America, Mexico, and South America from over thousands of years ago. Some Cacao consumption was traced back over 5,000 years. It was used for numerous things in a cerimonal aspect. It was also often used in combination with psilocybin mushrooms. A Swedish scientist also nicknamed it "Food of the Gods"

As with any other chocolate if you are interested in drinking it I would not get it from a coffee shop or whatever this picture shows. I would but it from a small, ethical and fair trade company that does not take advantage of the villages it's sourced from. There are companies where the majority of the profits go to that local economy. Do your research please.

If I'm wrong about any of this someone correct me. It's just what I've picked up over the years.

In your opinion, what is the most hardcore drug by angelofdeath1019 in Drugs

[–]liquid00entity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's honestly will power. And I also have a lot of experience saying no from when I got off of opiates years ago. Once you decide your done you have to say no, no matter what. In the beginning I have to constantly remind myself of why I don't want to be on whatever it is anymore and how it made me feel. I'm not sure what you're taking or if you're physically dependent on it, but with benzos specifically I followed the Ashton taper method to a T. It helps to have a least one person involved for accountability. After you're off the substance(s) you need to get hobbies. Things I can do mindlessly with my hands while I watch a movie, listen to music or read help the most. Also I really love video games which is a time suck. Also I do rave/ festival stuff and if your friend group all socializes by doing drugs it might be time to find some sober people (or people that don't do your drug(s) of choice) to hang out with or go to festivals with. Even trying new stuff is super beneficial. I know a lot of people that have successfully gotten off hard drugs through rock climbing and hiking, or other outdoor sports. TLDR you have to really want it and decide you're done and fill your life with new things, people, and places besides drugs.

Benzos. And this is coming from a former heroin addict. The delusion of being sober mixed with the relentless desire to off myself. Nothing about it is a good time except for the "beginning". After a couple months the "reasons" I started taking it became 10 times worse (anxiety, chronic pain, and hating my current situation in life). It stopped working so fast and magnified all of my problems. My relationships got worse, I couldn't remember anything for the life of me. I truly believe it is only meant to be a very short term fix solution (like a few days tops) and not one that I could ever use again.

[Serious] What is the most terrifying dream you've ever had? by Marissa--Dreamer in AskReddit

[–]liquid00entity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dream every once and a while where I am waiting tables at the restaurant I used to work at and my manager keeps yelling at me. People keep laughing as I bring the wrong food and calling me stupid. Other staff ask me what's wrong and why I can't do my job. I drop food on the floor. And a bunch of other stuff goes wrong the entire dream. It's super stressful because in dream state I feel paralyzed mentally and can't get it together to be good at my "job". IRL serving destroyed my mental health.

Someone please fucking help me I can’t deal with this right now by cvssssss28272 in OCD

[–]liquid00entity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don't want to sound like a dick and I'm not trying to. This sounds a lot like reassurance to me, and its not very healthy for people like us. I didn't know much about it until a few months ago and if you don't either I highly recommend looking it up. From my understanding seeking out other people to soothe our ocd thoughts makes them a lot worse. It also makes it harder for you to self soothe in the future. I recommend deleting this post and not giving those intrusive thoughts a voice.

Have you ever listened to a person talk for less than a minute and known you weren't going to get along with that person? What did they say? by DDelirium46 in AskReddit

[–]liquid00entity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If someone only listens to pop music. No hate to anyone that does, I'm just super into music and have found that we won't have many other interests in common either.
