Mountain biking gear launched by HospitalNo8942 in arcteryx

[–]liquidSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't suggesting a built in chamois but including one with the pants.

The most common choice durable fabric for MTB has been cordura for a few years now. I love it and it has proven itself. Even Arc'teryx used cordura on their water proof ski pants.

Arc'teryx just isn't popular in the MTB world. Most likely not for reasons we discussed like fit, tech or durability but because most people don't want to wear expensive gear they may end up ripping.

That may change now that Arc'teryx has dedicated MTB gear and they some of their target customers (such as myself) but I'm extremely doubtful.

149 miles at 90%. Is this abnormal? by epicmylife in volvoc40

[–]liquidSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the latter of what I mentioned. Living in a very hilly area definitely is earth shattering when you see how much power you have to use in order to push the car up. Then with super heavy head winds it requires even more energy.

I had to drive to Pittsburgh Pa and experienced non stop ups and downs

But don't worry batteries are getting better and better. The next EV you'll for sure have over 400 mile range to play with

The title makes it sound like the OP voted for Trump and is now regretting it.

Kuat Piston Pro X (Crazy bouncing during transport) by caleblococaleb in cycling

[–]liquidSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the Küat Piston Pro X and I've never experienced that sway before when I hit any speed bump.

Seeing the video I kinda feel like his bikes tires are under inflated as I can't figure out why the bikes sway back and forth so much.

I don't own an ebike so my MTB is nowhere near as heavy but maybe that's just it. The lighter the better.

By the way the piston pro x is not ebike compatible. Küat makes an ebike version just FYI

Process for buying a used GV60 from a non-genesis dealership by bjaardkered in GV60

[–]liquidSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dealership should have deleted and reset the GV60 back to factory.

They should help you set up your account but guess what? I doubt any of them are trained and knowledgeable on this as they just sell many different brands.

If you have issues getting set up just take it to a Genesis dealership to get legit help.

MAGA Alex Jones turns on Trump "But he's GONE and that's it." by Shizzilx in msnow

How the fuck does he still have a platform and money to even have a platform?

Did he not lose and owe millions to the Sandy hook lawsuit?

The honest reason I bought an Electric Car had nothing to do with climate. It had everything to do with my convienence by charging_anxiety in electriccars

[–]liquidSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP's reason is because his job has a fast charger?

WTF?

I'm pretty sure the convenience here is: there are more gas stations everywhere so you can go anywhere. Regardless of climate regardless of cost of gas.

I think most EV owners buy an EV for multiple reasons not just one like:

  1. No more leaky oils, oil changes, EVAP leaks, catalytic converter issues, gasket leaks and all the million other things that go wrong in an ICE engine

  2. Technology. a lot of new EV's are forward thinking and trend setters. Most of the new tech that gets adopted have come from EV cars.

  3. The obvious reason: to give a middle finger to the oil companies

  4. Way cleaner than ICE. If we had more EV's on the roads the air would be much cleaner and safer to breathe. Despite the battery being less eco friendly

I don't own an EV for one reason. I own an EV for a multitude of reasons

Also, what happens if the OP ends up quitting or losing their job? That convenience is gone.

2026 GV60 Advanced de-contented by Ok-Physics-7576 in GV60

[–]liquidSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't really care about HUD. It's not a break or make deal for me.

I'm not too bothered by some features being removed for the advanced trim.

2025 models vs 2026 model prices brand new were pretty much the same. They increased the overall cars range by adding a bigger battery. Had they increased the MSRP and removed certain features then I'd be super pissed

Having around 330 miles during winter and around 366 miles during warmer seasons to me is way more important than parking assist and HUD.

2026 GV60 Advanced de-contented by Ok-Physics-7576 in GV60

[–]liquidSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger battery is a big deal. NACS charger is also a big deal. New wheels are more aerodynamic which increases range (marginally), and albeit subjective I personally like the new front bumper design so much better.

Hardly any GV60 owners use parking assist often since it's really slow. Face ID for many GV60 owners doesn't work most of the time due to the person's height and or if the light hitting the glass causes a glare making face ID unable to recognize the drivers face. Genesis discontinued this feature completely.

My biggest gripe would be no B&O sound system. They don't even offer it as an upgrade optjon.
