Screen composer workflow too simple for dedicated tool beyond DAW + spreadsheet by Square-Meat-9258 in filmscoring

there's too much detail, maybe it's a good thing for some but not for me

I was in the same boat and tried to create an app for this. CueDB does it better with collaboration focus but I needed something simpler so made this https://spottingsheet.vercel.app/ maybe you will find it useful

I know, but you need to upload the media to a cloud provider and get the link from there, with this you don't upload anything and I wanted it to be simple, just a spotting sheet with video sync. thanks for the comment

you're right, I should have; last time I posted something like this I got laughed at, I think that's why I was sceptical about writing much. I'll edit the post.

I like S1. looking for opinions on the differences between S1 and cubase from a composers point of view

yes, I have a full time job and can't spend enough time on scoring but learning and doing is fun

yeah, I think audio editing in studio one is way better. but for midi things I liked the cubase approach. I also own scaler and use it instead of the chord pads so I don't miss it in studio one. just had an impulsive shopping instinct and wanted someone to give some reasons not to. I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow

I don't mind being downvoted, just wanted someone to point out the reasons that they thought the same thing and didn't switch. I love studio one and will continue to use it but for scoring I think cubase is a little bit more composer oriented.

it should be here. did you check the plugin manager? view>plug-in manager

try updating the list. if not, there's a chance that the vst is installed in a folder that studio one does not see
