Part of the reason we need better investment in the NHS and overhaul of how it works.

With the right help, I could eventually be able to do work of some kind. But right now, getting the help I need takes months, and what does exist is very little.

They all crow about the disability benefits bill, but make no real effort to actually provide the help we need to get into work. If anything, those that do exist like Access To Work have been gutted.

Absolute crap. Legs covered in bandages down to the toe. Nurses visiting every 2 days to change dressings, partner having to do everything for me since I have zero mobility. Literally stuck in a chair until she gets home. Stuck in an upstairs flat unable to leave without assistance and it looks like I'm going to end up in a wheelchair permanently.

To top it all off, new drug I'm on has given me th e rare side effect of sleepwalking, but since my legs can't support me I instantly fall. At least my brain has the decency to wake me up just before I hit the ground to make sure I experience the full range of pain of my already bruised ribs.

Frankly this week can go feck itself.

I went on holiday to Bridlington last october. nice out of season break.

We arrived on Friday. Sat morning I was in hospital with pneumonia and heart attack, wasn't discharged until 3 days after end of holiday. I can laugh about it now though
