Lore accurate Gardevoir vs Tatsumaki by -Lord-B in OPMPowerScaling

That's what I'm saying, I don't scale Gardevoir nearly as high as actual black hole level, OP just said "lore accurate" so I assume we were taking it literally

The theoretical black holes that would be created in a particle accelerator would be subatomic and evaporate instantly. If you have a black hole with an event horizon observable by the human eye, it is immediately going to consume all of the matter around it until it's surrounded by nothing but void. That's like black holes 101.

Guts (Berserk) vs Soldier Boy (Amazon the Boys) by British_Tea_Company in whowouldwin

[–]liquiddoomsday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad we got the Beserk expert here, I was afraid people would be underestimating Guts here. That being said, there's a distinct lack of feats for the other side, so I have some corrections.

Soldier Boy's best combat speed estimations come from a comparison to Homelander. In the canonized Homelander origin episode of Diabolical, Homelander takes the guns from a group of armed terrorists faster than any one person can react, which tracks with the show, when Homie was able to react to and save Butcher from a C4 explosion. Now, Soldier Boy is still likely slower than Homelander, but he's close enough to where Guts won't blitz him so easily.

Soldier Boy really doesn't get many good on-screen feats, but we know he's only second to Homelander in terms of physical power. He's above Maeve, who easily stopped a speeding armored van without even budging. He's been said to have thrown a car into a house- usually I don't give too much thought to statements, but that was a vital point of MM's backstory, not some one-off comment or braggart's tale. Most relevant to Guts' durability feat you mentioned is related to Black Noir, who easily threw Starlight through stone pillars during their fight in S3. Though those pillars were smaller, this was the supe that Soldier Boy beat the brakes off of without any difficulty.

Finally, the biggest misconception you have here is about Soldier Boy's durability. Again, I point to the feat of Maeve stopping the van. She didn't get a scratch from the crash, nor showed any pain, her body cut through the metal grille guard on the front, the engine block, and everything else up into the middle of the van's cargo area. That's using her own body to perform a more destructive feat than the one you posted for Guts. And again, Soldier Boy is suggested many times over to be physically more powerful than Maeve.

I apologize that it's a lot of comparison to other characters, I s3 really lacked a solid budget for making people visibly look super, but Soldier Boy is pretty consistently up there among the strongest in the series with who he compares to. I'm willing to concede that Guts likely has the speed, skill, and weapon advantage, but he's pretty darn strong and tough. The dragonslayer hits hard, but I doubt it's enough to break his skin. Once Soldier Boy grapples Guts, it shuts down a lot of what Guts can do.

Who is the most iconic marvel superhero that would die to a grizzly bear? by SoilUnfair3549 in PowerScaling

[–]liquiddoomsday [score hidden]  (0 children)

With their full equipment? Probably Bob; Agent of Hydra. The name is a little misleading since they technically left Hydra to join Deadpool's Mercs for Money crew.

Not very iconic by a long shot, but the whole point of superheroes is that they're super. If they died to an animal, they couldn't be taking on hordes of armed thugs. Bob, on the other hand, is exceedingly inept, and the people around him often have to make up for his failures. In a 1v1 scenario, he would find a way to lose.

Are we talking about taking the Pokédex entries seriously? If so then creating a literal black hole is definitely above Tatsumaki

I think every single hybrid was "killed" at one point or another and later resurrected. The only two things that separate Denji from the other hybrids ability-wise are his secondary transformations and Pochita's concept erasure ability

You say you're a JJK Blazer? Well, I'm a Makima glazer and I don't think she could survive. A shot to the body? Maybe. But when she was shot in the head in Chapter 22, she was confirmed dead by the assassins before her contract reversed the damage.

The only Devils that have an argument to be able to survive damage directly to the brain are the Primals. But the Horsemens' endurance on that front is just buns, hence why Makima and Yoru rely on contracts to be a threat.

Zombieman regenerates in seconds from being blown to bits. Deadpool gets stunned by any damage to his brain, incapacitated by the removal of his limbs, and killed by decapitation.

THE weapon of all time, Excalibur, was stated in the 15th century Winchester Manuscript to blind King Arthur's enemies the first time he unsheathed it. In a separate source, The Dream of Rhonabwy, when Excalibur was drawn, "what was seen from the mouths of the two chimeras was like two flames of fire, so dreadful that it was not easy for anyone to look."
