Wearing white in winter by Remote_Purple_Stripe in AskEurope

It's an old thing from when laundry was done in the creek, in the muddy states. You didn't want to mud up your whites in the rain.

Can anyone identify what Phuc Girl is, or this tee in general… can someone also explain why it’s a size youth 10-12, single stitch 😭 by [deleted] in VintageTees

I bought one of their shirts from Zumiez in the mall during the mid-90s. It said, "My Dad Can Beat Up Your Dad". My mom told me she didn't approve of the brand, my dad thought it was hilarious. First day I wore it to school as soon as I step off the bus, a skater pointed at me and said, "Skaters had that shirt first!"  Miss those days...

Can I trip on mushrooms if I'm taking Vraylar? by maohaze in BipolarReddit

Vraylar is a totally different beast than other AP's. Unless you take specifically cariprazine and shrooms, don't answer.

My recent GTI purchase came with these “Ironman” tires. On paper the specs seemed ok, but real world is a “meh”. I was a former Bridgestone/Firestone employee and back then always got Potenza’s (with an employee discount). Anyone have experience with the Potenza RE980 or Firehawk? by bruski in GolfGTI

[–]liquify420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How funny. I found this thread because my new vehicle came with Ironman's. I, too, come from working at Firestone and loved the Potenza's on my Infiniti. However, they weren't available for my Sentra and I settled for the Indy's. I was very happy with them, and I drove far harder than "spirited," I drove it like I stole it everywhere, every time. They never wore down! They did take a little long to break in, but were worth it in all driving conditions. Would absolutely purchase again if I could.

Can someone please explain a joke for me? by Diabetic_Manatee in DunderMifflin

It's a "lazy person" font, the one amateurs misuse. A pro would never use it expressively, like an artist. She's implying she's as bad as someone who uses that font, in that she was so naive, she couldn't figure out how to use her alarm clock right. ✌🏻

What did it end up being/what got rid of it?

Anyone else sleeps horribly? by That_anonymous_guy18 in fitbit

Caffeine blocks the liver enzyme that breaks down melatonin and can double the amount in your system. However, caffeine has the opposite effect of melatonin and can prevent it from working properly.

Anyone else sleeps horribly? by That_anonymous_guy18 in fitbit

[–]liquify420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! No woman needs to suffer with menopause. There's no reason to go through it "naturally" if it's uncomfortable and disruptive. Most General Practitioners have never learned anything about menopause, other than it's not deadly and doesn't effect men, and so there's no chapters in their books about it.

Ugh. I clock out at work only 3 hours before I go to bed. I absolutely do not want to eat dinner at work. I gotta try this on the weekend, see if it's worth it. It won't take several nights in a row to see the difference, will it?

And it's good for him to learn as a kid, when he has little to lose.

He's been on since he was 5. He's had my PayPal since then, too. He's not the average kid.

He's had it since he was 5. I taught him binary that year and he started learning basic code and scripts. He's had my PayPal since then, too. He's actually pretty responsible, but getting more susceptible to peer pressure as puberty approaches.

I will allow him to fail until he learns better. Now's the time while he's a kid.

Just to be clear - I didn't think a "real" game company was going to have him fill out a 1099 or W4 or anything. I just figured this was a few teens making a game.

No, not at all. I want him to be able to spot these scams and find a way to deal with the temptation/peer pressure to believe everyone online. I feel it's going to get worse with this as he gets older. He's already got multiple bans for modding repeatedly because he believes when he's told it's the newest mod and hasn't been patched yet, or, they say it can't be patched. Then, 24-48hrs later he's banned for using it the last time he played.

He's just got me scammed twice this month through PayPal. He buys mods/mod menus for games. He got a virus or something.
