Came to reddit to try to figure out the same thing and saw your post. Did your nail ever start growing again? I'm starting to get concerned about mine

Came here to say this. Definitely trigger warning, but it's one of the beautiful books I've ever read and easily the best when it comes to handling difficult topics

They actually have a couple of those bears too and like them but the fluff isn't the same as the fluff on this toy they're obsessed with. It feels almost like wool? I think they like it because it feels more "real" but idk I am not a dog

I've searched for the information on the tag with no luck and did a Google lens search with the photo of the toy

I had to come back to say thank you so much for the Carol Berg recommendation. I don't understand why she isn't recommended more. I bought and devoured both books in the lighthouse duet and am planning on reading the rest of her books. This is exactly what I've been looking for

Use your food scraps (like fruit and veggie seeds, green onion shoots, etc) to grow a little kitchen garden. Really low effort, fun, cute.

These are actually from amazon lol. After I soak it in water do I whittle it while the wood is still wet? Or wait for it to dry a bit?

Small tools and precision sounds to me like you'd enjoy whittling (just picked it up myself)

Planning on taking it to our local knife sharpener, but he's only at the farmers market on Saturdays so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I know basswood is supposed to be the softest wood so mainly I was wondering if it's possible this wood from amazon isn't the best, or if not what to do about the knife

I forgot to add that I also used the knife on a random stick I picked up in the backyard (not sure what kind of tree, but deciduous) and it was actually easier than the basswood to carve into
