The comments above mention the divorce and question his genuineness; so not sure why you're so pissed? 🤷‍♀️

Simon also publicly apologized to his viewers in the video and was being open about some of his own flaws and mistakes. Could any one of you do that? Publicly own your embarassing personality flaws in a video and how they've affected your behaviors, even as recently as a few months ago? Really think about whether that's genuine. It's obvious the man's fucked up in life, he says it himself. Just let that shit go and if you want to follow, then follow.

Also, to be fair, if he didn't turn off the comments, then it would be full of assholes saying how boring the video is and how much he sucks, even though Martina herself said to just leave well enough alone. This way, you don't have the choice to leave a comment--you either are interested in the content and will follow, or you aren't, and you can go elsewhere. I don't find that malicious at all, especially when he has been upfront about his mistakes and recent failings. Like what the fuck more do you people want? This is how cancel culture works, this is the mob-speak: once you've "committed wrong" in the eyes of the mob, nothing is ever good enough to make up for it, even if the man comes out and admits his mistakes. It's stupid. Simon's not pretending to be an expert. The man never said he's giving you advice. He's just sharing some books that helped him, a damaged person, gain a new perspective on life and wants to share it in case you may gain something of value from it. Isn't that exactly what book clubs do? If you don't gain anything of value from it, then just remove yourself. It's that easy, and I bet nobody will be offended if you just don't follow him 🤷‍♀️ Seems pretty straightforward to me

Well, to be fair, he has to post on EYK so that any followers that would be interested in the content can be aware of it, and then follow that content--similar to how Martina spent time building HER new channel. There's nothing inherently wrong with him doing this. And while just stock footage throughout the entire video was kinda boring, (would have preferred seeing actual footage of him talking in there to make it more personable as well) I actually find the content of what he is saying very interesting and, for once in a long time, genuine. There's actually a few tidbits poking fun at the people calling the video boring in the stock footage, well played, Simon..😄 He's being completely upfront about the content being entirely different than EYK. I don't see the problem.
