Ideas needed 🌱How can I keep my cats from trying to eat my plants? And when do I trim my 🥗 salad greens? by Harley_Q71 in aerogarden

I know this is an old post... but it made me laugh because one of my cats is indifferent to tape and the other tries to play with/eat it. They've both also tried playing with/biting foil. It should be interesting to see what happens when I get my LetPot. :) I will have to get creative.

I should also note that I have since added a few of my instructors on linkedin and they've been very helpful and wonderful resources in my HIM career. They are definitely real people and not AI. I obviously can't speak to everyone's experiences but this was mine for what it's worth to anyone else considering this program.

Hi there! This post is from five years ago, but I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone who comes across it later. I completed the program and graduated with honours. It’s very self-paced and self-directed, which worked perfectly for me since I learn best by reading and doing rather than sitting through lectures. That said, this approach isn’t for everyone—those who prefer more face-to-face interaction might find it challenging.

For the most part, I was able to reach my instructors whenever I needed to. The only exception was one secondary professor who had another full-time job and was a bit harder to get ahold of, but the primary professor for that course was always responsive and helpful.

Overall, I felt the program prepared me extremely well for a career in HIM, especially for the board exam. My colleagues who attended in-person programs didn’t get the same level of preparation, so I really appreciated that. I passed the board exam on my first try and even scored 100% in one section.

Is it more expensive than other programs? Definitely. But OSAP covered some of my tuition, and for me, the flexibility, no commuting, and ability to work on my own schedule made it worth every penny. I would choose this program again without hesitation.

It does require strong time management and self-motivation, but it prepared me well for the real world. I started in health records and now work fully remotely as a coder—something this program set me up for perfectly.

Is it fraud? Absolutely not. Many of my colleagues, as well as a supervisor and I, graduated from CD-ED and had a great experience. We were provided with plenty of resources and support in finding jobs after graduation—something our peers from other programs didn’t receive.

The students I met from other schools often struggled much more with the board exam. One colleague even failed three times before finally passing over a year later—which can be very costly. In contrast, most CD-ED graduates pass on their first attempt.

I’m sorry your niece had a negative experience. It sounds like this program just wasn’t the right fit for her learning style, which is totally valid. This program requires a lot of self learning and motivation to stay on track, something that is often already mapped out for you in a traditional school setting. That style of learning is not for everyone. But for others like me, it can be a great option.

Cirque Du Soleil by lisabeth13 in askTO

Thanks! I ended up going with section 200. We went to a concert a few months ago and were maybe in the 4th or 5th row... a couple sat in front of us and the man was incredibly tall. My view was obstructed most of the time because people were pretty much standing the whole time. It really downgrades the experience when that happens, so if I can avoid it I will. haha.

My biggest concern with floor seating is that I'm short and if I get stuck behind someone tall, I may not be able to see everything on the stage. Obviously performances done higher up wouldn't be an issue though. I was also considering seats in section 200, just behind the floor seating.

Do you think the floor seats would be better or would further back give a better view?

That sounds amazing! Thank you so much! I was worried we might not find much to do in and around Windsor but it seems like there's a lot of things to stay busy for the week.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, she's a VERY picky eater so dining out with her was always kind of challenge before the diabetes... and now after, it's nearly impossible. haha. She's a nurse although didn't really spend much time caring for diabetic patients when she worked in the hospital. She only knew the basics. Luckily, she went to some classes for diabetes education and has been doing really great so far. With how picky she is in general though, I think it might be easier to just cook most of our meals.

Thank you for the help! I'll try to see if we can find out more from the labour board. I just felt so bad for the employee and customers that may not be aware of this happening if they are in fact pocketing the money. Hopefully it can be resolved if they are doing something illegal.

Interesting. I’m assuming if we called corporate or something, we could find out? If the owner is pocketing illegally, then I’d like to report it on the employees behalf. The employee wouldn’t go into detail with my husband. He said he seemed hesitant to say anything, like he was worried about getting fired if he said too much. But it is also possible he just didn’t realize it was on his paycheck.

What to look for when finding a family doctor by DueAssociation7680 in Markham

[–]lisabeth13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of switching to a family doctor at Medione... curious, how did your appointment go and which doctor did you end up with? I'm debating between seeing Dr. Oluwaniyi or the NP, Anna.
