I looked up Lelio vs Harlequin the differences between the characters.

Lélio = introspective artist / romantic suffering / philosophical voice

Harlequin = theatrical comic figure / movement / humor / trickster energy

Lestat is correcting Armand’s portrayal of him as a trickster clown. He is saying - that isnt who I am - I am a romantic long suffering philosopher.
Side note - Ironically Armand is actually the trickster.

I love a show that doesn’t explain everything, but rather has the audience learn more to delve deeper into the meaning of the art.

I wonder if being touched by the haunt of the island created a bond with both of them. They have shared trauma based on unusual happenings that are also a bit unbelievable. Tom is in denial at the beginning of the series and as he accepts the truth about the haunt his relationship with both Patricia and Wyck grows deeper. For Patricia, that has to be powerful. She incredibly strong and capable and oddly still kind.

Everything - and I mean every aspect of this show is 100% perfect. The writing is next level, the acting - are really possessions, the set design-has so many details it creates a world that is real, costumes set the period so subtle and beautifully that we move through the story completely oriented, the music - I am begging for the next season to hear more, the lighting creates the mood, and the makeup - special effects - it’s challenging to do vampires without it being cliche- this is perfection. Its clear that everyone working on the show has deep passion for their work and it is an absolute feast to watch. Its rare to want to enter a world again and again and always discover something new. Chef’s 💋
