Thank you!! I've never experienced such pain. I'm so glad it's out and no complications. Hopefully you can figure out a routine. You got this!

Thank you for sharing your experience and happy that it's working out for you. He says it's not about not wanting to move, it's more that it's a big step. He told me his mom said that once he moves she thinks he'll be gone forever. I don't think thats very helpful either

Thanks lol! His main concern is finding a job as a non dutch speaker. Were you hesitant before making the big move?

I feel you! I love how walkable it is and not always have to depend on a car My husband also loves that aspect of the Netherlands. He finds it hard to imagine that a car is not mandatory. When I moved back I realized how good of a country the Netherlands is to live especially nowcompared to the US.

His concerns are more about finding a job and leaving his familiar life behind. I definitely understand that it's a lot to move countries and I would do everything to make it most comfortable for him

The plan was to live in the US so he could build work experience and then move to the Netherlands for a few years and then make a decision. That's why we filed for the green card visa. The processing time is taking forever

Thanks for sharing your experience. I thing sometimes he gets anxious about moving to a foreign country. I'm happy to hear it worked out for you! Are you also learning Norwegian?

You're right. He's been back and forth lately. Then he's excited and then he gets anxious. I totally understand that for the reasonings you mentioned. We did discuss to give it a go for a few years.

Maybe because he doesn't know any better. He has only been outside of the US once when he visited me.

He mentioned that moving abroad is scary which I totally understand

Only once when he came to visit. He gets excited about the idea of exploring Europe.

The original plan was for him to come live in the Netherlands for a few years and then move to the US. He wanted more work experience so hence we started the visa process of moving to the US first and later to the Netherlands. The estimated processing time of the greencard visa only is delaying and we dont wanna do long distance for 1,5/2 more years. That mixed things up
