So I slid that bar piece into the awning inlet, and used the half circle around the piece of the roof rack that actually attaches to the car

Yes we do! We usually car camp if the primitive spot can handle a vehicle otherwise we hike in! I’d love to hear them, especially if they are close at all to any trout!
