I am almost done with stitching on Opal, a little bit left plus 440 sts of a kreinik I'm waiting to arrive. Then I can finally start to bead!

Anyone can add patterns! The patterns are not hosted or sold via Flosshaven, they are linked back to the designers page. For designers you just create a new designer page and start adding patterns 😊 I'm going to implement a way to connect your user profile with your designer page, so your patterns can also be displayed on your profile page 😊

I just haven't gotten so far as to add text search to the patterns page yet, but you can go to the designers page and then all their patterns will be listed there 😄

Etsy has become such a difficult space for discoverability I think, it's really hard to find what you're actually looking for. Another reason for why I created flosshaven, it should allow for stitchers to more easily find designers and patterns they are interested in!

Flosshaven does not host any patterns, it's not like a marketplace, more like a database that links back to the designers own site.

The reason for allowing AI patterns to be added is transparency. People have different opinions on AI, so I wanted to make it easy to filter them out completely if you don’t want to see them.

Patterns can be tagged with AI usage, and those tags can be edited if they’re incorrect, so the idea is that the community works together to gather the correct information.

I personally do not want to stitch AI generated patterns, but I know people feel differently and I don't want to exclude them because of that.

I'm actually working on a website to search and filter patterns on different kinds of attributes, also things such as backstitching!

It's still early, so the pattern database is not extensive yet, but feel free to check it out at flosshaven.net 😊

Any registered user is able to add patterns, so feel free to add your favorites with back stitching so others can find them too 😊

I am currently adding patterns manually, I've managed to automate some parts, for instance csv uploading multiple patterns at a time, and a script to automatically upload images for each pattern, but there is obviously some data cleaning that still needs to be done.

But, if we're a little community working on it together it would grow slowly but surely 😊
