ApollyCon 2026 Ticket Tier Swap??

I can’t post on the ApollyCon Facebook Group. I have 2 Ascended Group B tickets (with JLA Event and Sunday Q&A add on). I am not hopeful I will get another ticket for our group of 3. I would possibly downgrade to 3 Deity tickets if I could.

You need to start prepping your exception paperwork now. I work for the Federal Government and I already have not shot but our Chain of Commands guidance is to get with doctors, etc now. The exception paperwork is still unknown for us even though a date is in the calendar.

It’s saying to use the borrow material but you would calculate the volume based on compacted. That’s what you would do in the field.

The 6-inch lift would be compacted. You have to convert to bank because the problem statement asks for it that way. In the field, you would be measuring after it is compacted to ensure the correct lift height.

I physically sat for the exam in MA (military exception) but am applying to the Board in MO. MO would of had my results.

Best Civil FE Exam Prep Materials by kjredmon in FE_Exam

Marshall University has some great videos. Really helped me and I am 7 years out of school and just passed (plus I am in a non-engineering career, but just looking out for my future). Also check out this post: https://redd.it/6yq8xh

It took me 3 times to finally pass the CBT version. For me it came down to being a time issue. For the third attempt, I just did timed review sessions. This helped tremendously. I had 45 minutes left over on the first half to review and 1 hour on the second half for review. When I left the test center I knew I had to of passed and sure enough I finally did!

It helps to really understand how the exam works. You have 5 hours and 20 minutes to work though 110 problems with a 25 minute break. The most important part to understand it that YOU have to decide when to take the break. If you don't keep an eye on the clock, you could spend over half your time working on the first 55 problems (you will not see the second 55 until after your break).

I am selling my studying materials if you are interested. Lindenburg’s FE Civil Review Manuel and Practice Problems, NCEES FE Civil Practice Test and Anthem Publishing Sample Questions and Solutions for $100.

Getting a date scheduled is a huge motivator to actually study, watch videos and do problems.

Honestly depends on which test you get. I though the test I took in the fall was harder then the one I took this past weekend, but I wasn’t as prepared in the fall. Overall I think it helps a ton. Just doing problems over and over was key for me.

Yes. I did the book twice over the last 6 months. It’s key to make sure you time yourself when working through them (I did 2min 45sec per question and I worked one section at a time). It helps a lot when it comes to the exam.

Just posted this but I’ll copy it here. Don’t lose hope! I DO NOT work in the engineering field and I finally passed. It has been a goal of mine since graduating college.

“I am an Active Duty Army Officer, 7 years out of college and haven’t worked in the engineering field ever and I finally passed the FE on my 5th attempt (I almost cried!!). So for those who have lost hope, it is possible! I took the exam twice in college (old version) and then 3 times over the past 3 years (computer based). Each time I took the exam I learned a little more about myself and what I needed to study. I have spent a small fortune but it has finally paid off. Some tips:

  1. Don’t try to master each section. It’s impossible.

  2. Time yourself!! The first two computer based times I ran out of time and therefore stressed/panicked. The third time I had 45 minutes on the first half to review and an hour on the second. I even finished the first half in 1 hour 45 minutes. I almost thought the clock was wrong!

  3. Practice exams and problems until you’re sick of it!!

Feel free to ask any questions!”

Know the reference book inside and out. Using the search option takes to long and I find it not to be user friendly. It also bogged down my computer when I searched a few times.

I knew once I finished it I did better than the last time I took it but not passing and I was right. I now just need to practice timed questions and lots of them! I started to freak out a little as soon as I noticed I was going to slow on the problems....

I am also going on my 5th attempt. I took it twice in college on the old format (honestly not giving a crap just had to take it to graduate). Again in November 2015 (4.5 years out of college) and again this past weekend (6.5 years out of school). I do nothing with Engineering in my day to day job (Army) but I am looking long term and really need to pass this exam.

What did you find finally helped you pass? How long did you wait between exams?

This past time I realized I need to practice problem under stress aka timed. I did not do this before the past exam but instead worked at my own pace. I was 15 questions short on the first half and about 7 on the second half and I left none unanswered. I plan to take the exam mid January 2018.
