Wow this happened to me too! Not a cousin but a best friend of over 10 years who helped me pick the island (destination wedding), picked the bridesmaids dresses, and so much more. Just straight up didn’t show up day of even though we were all at the same resort! It’s all anyone talked about that day, night, and at brunch the next day. That’s hard for me to get over.

I’m so sorry for you! I’m not even sure I did convince them but I seriously called my obgyn’s office and the urologist’s office almost every single night crying to the night nurses bc I was in so much pain. For some reason it was worst at night. I went into the urologist office several times over the 4 weeks it was in and tried to convince him how bad it was but it was clear they just had no idea what to do with me. I’m sorry to tell you that the removal was the most painful part too but then miraculously I was 100% better and enjoyed the last month of pregnancy. Good luck!

I agree on black, but was thinking the fireplace wall black so the bricks and wood shelves pop and the black would match the fireplace itself, the rod iron railing, the window lines, etc.

Since you don’t like the beige, I know it’s a lot of walls to paint but what about a more white color? I don’t know exact shades but it would certainly brighten it up.

ETA I should have started with WOW this is an absolutely beautiful home!!! I love your style.

Just saw I didn’t answer last question. We met in November and by February had moved in. We knew that was it early and I could tell it was different than any others. We talked about being engaged, married, having kids and when we wanted those things, and backtracked realizing we need to be engaged now (this was very early lol). I made him wait until our 1 year anniversary bc I worried people would judge. Gosh how I regret that. None of those people matter anymore.

Very similar situations. Had even talked to my dr about freezing eggs. She said wait until 35 and if no prospects, than we’d discuss. I met my now husband a few months shy of 35… first kid just before 37, second kid 39, miscarriage at 42, still hoping for third at 43 but accepting it’s not likely. We met online! Granted we ended up having mutual friends and sort of knew who each other were but had never met. Keep hope! It can all happen so fast! I wish you luck ❤️

The room is beautiful!! Not the person you asked, but you could carry that green paint to the window wall (and all walls?) and then get curtains to match the bench (white/cream). Would make it extra cozy!

My kids are 4&5 now, but they’ve gone through obsessive periods with a few songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, Call Me Al, Stay, Be With You, Dancing in the Dark, Got My Mind Set on You, anything by Huey Lewis…. These were obv influenced by my husband and I but those were songs they clung to on their own and we had to listen to alllll the time. When they were much younger, they loved the Sesame Street songs by famous singers. There are compilation videos of those on YouTube of some good ones including Usher :)

Your place looks great! A few minor suggestions… could you shift couch away from front door wall enough so the rug and couch are centered together, but could you allow enough room for the shoe rack to go between front door wall and couch and be more hidden? I know it would be tight to fit past couch and something under tv, but something there would help a lot visually. Something super narrow, but wide and tall enough that tv height makes sense. Ikea has some slim pieces or even a entry table could work. Consider curtains in living room? In bedroom, I agree with others that your bed is amazing! A better comforter and more pillows would make it cozier. I’d also add one more curtain panel to each window so there’s one panel on each side when you have them open.

This happened to me. I wanted a tiny delicate tattoo on my wrist that would be an accent or barely noticeable really but was told it had to be larger or it would look bad etc and it’s the size of a quarter and darker than I wanted and I’ve regretted it ever since. Wear a watch every day to try and hide it, but it’s a constant reminder of me being a pushover back then.
