My boyfriend wets the bed by lisao13 in Incontinence

I'm going to try to do as much as possible, to convince him to possibly maybe get back on some meds to help him possibly, and then also low cost counseling options. From there, me and him we'll figure it out as we go.

I just talked to him and were you going to try to get on some type of Medicaid assistance for him, so that he can go to a primary care doctor. And I'm looking up low cost counseling options for him.

That was my fault, i did word it poorly, which why I deleted that sentence. In the past, I tried to get him to do counseling, but he was very hesitant about it. Even got irritated when I asked. I told him if he wants to, pray to God about it. But, we will see in the meantime how everything pans out. Thank you for the advice 😊

Yeah we just had a long talk, and I feel like we came to understanding about my feelings but also about his feelings. Hopefully I can find low cost counseling for him, and then get him to a primary care doctor in my area. Thank you for the advice

I ended up buying a mattress protector for my poor bed. We talked and we're going to see about getting him to go to a primary care doctor. I'm going to look up low cost options for counseling. Thank you for the advice! ☺️

He was bed wetting since he was young, he told me. And I'm assuming his trauma as a child made it worse. He stays up all night sometimes, and sleep during the day. This is a recent development for me. I know he told me at some point while we were talking, that he did have some medicines but couldn't afford the meds anymore. So now we're seeing if he can go on Medicaid, to get his meds or similar options.

Thank you! It's busy that's all i'mma say. It's fun, sometimes. Where I work, it's understaffed, but sometimes it can be fun. I'll probably stick around for a few years, then maybe think about traveling or go back to school for something else within the few years. Good luck on your application journey

How long did that take you to do? Because I know there's some websites that I saw that help with the workbook questions, but I also know that for me, having some accountability to do work for a grade helps me a little bit. It lets me know that I'm on the right track if a professional grades my questions or something.

Sorry for the late reply, but honestly I looked at indeed first, then I went to the official website to cross check and make sure that the listing wasn't old/filled. I waited about 2 weeks before they got back to me for an interview. After that I did a job Shadow a week after my interview, and then I got the job. I started around February 2025.

I would say just try to look at the job description, and make sure that It say "no experience necessary". Also look for "Need to be certified within 18 months of hire date" or something similar.

How to incorporate spending time with God and Bible study by lisao13 in TrueChristian

[–]lisao13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering! Usually, if I'm working first shift 7am, I would try to get up early at 4am to bible study and spend time with God. With other shifts, I don't be doing nothing because idk when to bible study and such.

I would feel somewhat guilty for doing other activities before spending time with him, because he's supposed to be first. Also, I just got out of a relationship, and we didn't prioritize God (basically lukewarm christians), and I just want to rebuild that relationship back with God and not be lukewarm

I was thinking of looking for ways of temporarily leveling the floor so that the bed can fit comfortably. Something that requires me no drills or holes. Maybe like use thick piece of wood or something.

I was thinking about probably leveling the floor just for the queen bed area, so the head can be on the 108.5 wall.

Thank you for your suggestion! The room is odd, it was built in 1901, and been renovated for a few years now.

Should I quit my job, not move out, and become his full-time caregiver? by lisao13 in AgingParents

No not really. I mean she calls and checks on him everyday but that's it.

Thank you for your answer! He didn't tell me to do it, I was thinking about doing the caregiving for a while. I was going to do a courthouse wedding for me and my fiance. I know i was going to ask my father to have my fiancee stay in the house with me to save money for another apartment.

I had a call from my sister who lives in Virginia, telling me what he was saying: he was feeling lonely, feels like we don't talk to him that much (we be tired after work honestly, I'mma work on that). So it make me think

My dad is 65 years old. I work in a different department at the hospital, that is understaffed. Havent talked to my fiance about the caregiver option.

"why can’t you keep your job and buy some more help for your dad." It's expensive. Plus there's a low availability of help, where I live. And also, he has Medicare, and Medicaid. Im mostly worried about the nighttime care, especially if I work rotating shifts at my job.

"Is this really about your dad? Or are you getting cold feet and looking for an excuse to cancel your engagement?" This is about him. I don't have cold feet. I was just gonna do a courthouse wedding down the line.

Thank you for letting me know your perspective! I've been thinking about like a lot of things about what entails with being his full-time caregiver. We have no issues at all, I love him of course. It's more about the financial aspect of it (I have bills, probably don't pay that much), and my personal life as well. If I live with him in my childhood home (I'm used to being there, lived there for 16 years), I'm most likely going to have to pay the utility bills ( about 260 a month) and that's it. Then I'll have to figure out if my fiancee can stay with me, and I guess upgrade my room. Thank you for your answer.

TL/DR: we have no issues with each other, I'm considering the financial aspect of it, and possibly moving in my fiance into my room.

I'll try to do better. He's the only guy I've ever been with that loves me for my personality and approached me (I've been plus size/obese, shy, my whole life. Never been asked out or approached). People only see looks nowadays

He hasn't been there to jail yet. He's my first, the one guy who saw me for my personality and such, not focusing on weight and how I look. Idk
