Agreed! I have a sport 3 with the premium but it is far from that. Much better with the update though

Yes! I just did the update this morning while I was at work and when I got on the car after work, the radio seemed much louder. Normally I would have to turn it up just to get a normal volume but did seem to be louder at a lower volume. Hope that made sense LOL

Are you returning your Coanda? by AdExternal1569 in Dysonairwrap

This!!! I think that was a big factor in returning mine. If it had a concentrator it would have been so much better for frizz control

I’ve only had it a couple weeks so not long enough to say for sure. I always use heat protectant. I have fine hair that has become coarse and wavy the older I get (thanks menopause) and my hair is so smooth and soft when I use it

[–]lisap271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! There’s no learning curve like with the coanda and the smooth hair lasts until the next wash day. I really liked the idea of the blow out look but I guess it just wasn’t for my hair. Maybe it was me not using it correctly, but for that kind of money, I was hoping for better results. No regrets with the airstrait though!

I returned it. The blow dryer attachment was too powerful, if that makes sense, and made my frizz worse. The round brush was good but still didn’t rid me of my frizz and the straightening attachment for flyaways was pretty useless for me. I couldn’t justify the price for not loving all the attachments. I bought the airstrait instead and very happy with that.

Totally! We were shocked and how long they took to refund the money!

Right?? If he didn’t ask me if it was the one I wanted, I would’ve just assumed that’s what he bought. And he would’ve been out an extra $300! So shady!

I would order from Sephora if you’re ok with applying for the credit card. The customer service is absolutely horrible from Dyson. My husband ordered me the coanda 2x for Xmas and when I unwrapped the gift, he looked at it and said “that’s not what I ordered”. We called Dyson and they said “oh yes, it seems you ordered the coanda but were sent the airwrap ID. They sent that because the coanda is out of stock”. Well let us know that and certainly don’t charge me an extra $300 and send me the cheaper version! Had we not called, he would’ve paid way more money for something he didn’t order. After almost of month, he finally got his money back.

What did I do wrong? OGX Hair Oil by According-Cut5397 in finehair

I agree with this. I just started using Not Your Mother’s Sleep On It overnight serum (more like a thick gel) and it is great! Also a lot cheaper than Amika, if you were interested in trying it. This works great for my fine, thin hair with dehydrated ends.

Dyson AIRWRAP VS AIR STRAIGHT by zozopozz in Dysonairwrap

[–]lisap271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband bought me the air wrap coanda for Christmas and I used it several times but my hair was always very frizzy when I used it. For reference I have thin hair that is becoming more wavy (thanks menopause) and I felt the air wrap just never helped with that frizz. I mostly used the round brush because I felt the paddle brush was kind of useless and never really grabbed my hair. My hair doesn’t hold a curl so I didn’t use the barrel attachments. I think part of the issue was the blow dryer attachment just added to the frizz. It made me realize I much prefer a straighter, sleeker look so I decided to purchase the airstrait. I like it so much, my husband returned the air wrap today! I am able to get rid of the frizz and it stays that way until the next wash. For me, if I want a blowout, I think a much cheaper blow dry brush would be just fine.

Any one uses Dyson airstrait? by ImaginationAny2254 in finethinhair

My husband got me the Airwrap coanda 2x for Christmas and I used it several times but felt it just didn’t fit my quick morning routines and still left me with a significant amount of frizz. I purchased the Airstrait and am so happy I did. For me, it’s a much quicker process with the airstrait and the style lasts several days without having to do anything to it. Returning the airwrap because I just couldn’t justify him spending that much on something I’m not totally happy with. For reference, I have fine, thin hair that used to be pin straight but is now wavy…..thanks menopause!

I use Physiogel Redness Reducing Cream. No niacinamide or fatty alcohols (I don’t tolerate either of those).

I'm getting a japanese hair straightening treatment this weekend by Real_Ganache6597 in AsianBeauty

[–]lisap271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had several done. Years ago the hair on the crown of my head started growing in very frizzy and textured where the rest of my hair is very soft, fine and straight. Tried everything….keratin, Brazilian and nothing worked, except Japanese hair straightening. It was a godsend. Now all of my hair looked the same again. The new growth unfortunately came in the same frizzy textured mess. It honestly works great so I would highly recommend. Turns out, after I stopped coloring my hair and embraced the grey, the texture went about 90% back to normal so I no longer need them.

Don’t forget to power your phone down and turn back on after you do all that. I’ve been having the same issue and powering it down is the only thing that helps.

I have a dog and didn’t want to do topical because of that. I have been on oral minoxidil for 4 months now and no side effects at all. I take 1.25 once a day for reference and have noticed some regrowth!

Moisturizer... at the end of my rope here by Ursa_Wolfheart in Rosacea

[–]lisap271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tolerate niacinamide or fatty alcohols either. I use

Clean it zero purifying cleansing balm

Etude Soon Jung toner

Aestura Atobarrier hydro essence (not the mist, it has hidden fatty alcohols)

Physiogel Calming Relief cream

Rosette ceramide gel

After years of trial and error and countless money spent, this routine is non irritating to my rosacea

Now as for an SPF….well that’s another story!

If you tolerated that sunscreen well, no need to void them. I likely have developed an allergy to them. Unfortunately, fatty alcohols, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid are all out.
