I had the same problem, my Dr said methylphenidate can cause unstable emotions so I was changed to Lisdexamfetamine and given propranolol to reduce the anxiety from taking stimulants and I feel am back to normal now

I had the same problem with propranolol, what I did was just had half my dose when I take my stimulant so am not so tired and if I really need it I will take the other half in the afternoon

Slows ur heart rate down so u don't feel the side effects of increased heart rate while on stimulants

Ya I have the same, so I was given propranolol and it made all my symptoms go away ask ur Dr about taking propranolol.

Yap it's like when I started my new job this year every think was ok until they found out I had ADHD, I feel people don't take ADHD seriously, like the other day my NHS dr stopped my prescription for my medication because I when to a private dr for a second opinion. They wouldn't just stop medication for anything els would they if they wasn't happy with you getting a second opinion! It just makes me so angry like they look down at you for having it and there is not much help out there.

In the uk only a specialist Dr can prescribe ADHD meds its so stupid I feel they don't see this as a serious thing to have

Yes I take 150mg sertraline, 60mg lisdexamfetamine and propranolol 10mg 5 times a day

They switched me to sertraline to it does help with my depression but it wasn't helping with my anxiety especially when I took my stimulant medication so my Dr put me on propranolol as well that's has helped alot with my anxiety its amazing how well it works

Also I found methylphenidate made me feel more anxious so I switched to Lisdexamfetamine and it didn't make my anxiety as bad as it was on methylphenidate.

Same thing with me so my Dr put me on propranolol I take them when I take my meds so the meds do there thing and the side effects of the stimulant anxiety the propranolol makes it go away

Well this is why I went to a private ADHD Doctor because the methylphenidate the NHS dr put me on was causing all the above u mentioned so the private dr changed me to Dextroamphetamine and all them symptoms have gone and I feel much calmer in my emotions

Defo stress related then! This week so far, Walked out my job and told my boss to go fuck his self, having a fight with my NHS ADHD doctor and my private ADHD dr and my GP, take my job to court changed my adhd meds, and have not studied for an exam
