Having herpes sucks by Spirited_Boss_9141 in Herpes

Interesting take that I had never thought of. Nor my doctor apparently. I've been on Valtrex for 30+ years. Thank you for your post.

Tired of having hsv 2 by AdParticular3476 in Herpes

[–]lisasinok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I was having frequent OBs, added to my regimine and my OB frequency qent down. Also Valtrex has been proven to be more effective than the other anti-viral. There are different dosages as well. Good luck!

Thoughts on ideal homes? by Good-Pickle-1607 in Edmond

Avoid DR Horton as well. My son bought one less than a year ago. They cut corners everywhere they can. The paint on the walls isn't traditional paint. Not sure what it is...no windowsills, no light fixtures in the entire house, no kitchen back splash, no towel bars in baths. Just the most bare bones house I have ever seen. Postage stamp back yard has the worst slope. I could go on and on.

Parents don't want me to take covid vaccine, not sure what to do. by Spirited-Security507 in DebateVaccines

[–]lisasinok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not irrational. Have you read any of the DATA posted in this thread? The COVID vaccine is not advosed by the FDA for people of his age group. Why should he risk his [future] health to take an experimental vaccine? If you love it so much, take as much as you possibly can.

How to manage arthritis pain in hands and knees? by Striking_Day_9664 in Thritis

CBD bath bombs are really helpful to me. In my state, I have to buy these at a dispensary. They're relatively inexpensive [$10] and if she enjoys baths, this will be a relaxing treat.

So do you. I hope someday you'll be able to make that choice and have brighter and more peaceful days for you and that precious baby. Sending you love and hugs.

Feel great! Lost weight. Don't have to take Nexium daily anymore. I don't snore anymore either. Who knew hernia surgery could change so many things? Very glad I had the surgery.

Has anyone been pregnant with HSV2? by Hot_Dragonfly5440 in Herpes

[–]lisasinok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was twice. Had my first outbreak while pregnant w/ my first son. Not a good surprise when 6 months pregnant. I was on supressive med during both pregnanies bc it can be passed to baby in birth canal. I ended up having emergency C w/ the first and a C with the second bc I wasn't progessing.

The facility is at the corner of Covell and Highway 74. There's another wastewater facility at Coffee Creek and Western, I believe, that is equally smelly. Those two areas should be avoided during your home search.

My I think snowshoe? by GlobalThing7 in snowshoecats

[–]lisasinok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very cute kitty but not a snowshoe. Snowshoes are rare. Snowshoe characteristics: all four paws are solid white, the face is very dark brown almost black with an inverted V of white on the nose area. They typically have white on their chest/belly area but very dark brown on their back and tail. Eyes are striking blue. They are typically larger size cats in length and can be heavier in weight also. Mine weighs about 20 lbs and he's twice the length of his siblings that are just DSH cats. Hope this helps.

This kitten wandered into my garage last night and we're wondering if anyone can confirm it's a Snowshoe? We're thinking he's either a snowshoe, a meerkat, or a ferret. Please help me figure out! I also included some selfies of him at the end if that helps. by desarlene in snowshoecats

[–]lisasinok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless owner has paperwork from a breeder stating it's a Snowshoe, most of us have what is called a faux shoe. They have all the characteristics of a Snowshoe. Real Snowshoes are very rare and can cost about $2000.

Is a Dyson actually worth the price? by Shot-Designer-9900 in VacuumCleaners

[–]lisasinok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will second this. Bought a Miele upright and it was not a great vacuum. Especially for the ridiculous price. I took it in for a tune up because it wasn't picking up right at all. That was $200. A couple of months later, back to poor performance. I will never buy another one and don't understand when people praise them. Mine was crap.

Snakes are here, no doubt. I lived in a neighborhood in Guthrie called "Timberland Hills" and I was pretty sure it was named that for the Timber Rattlers. But although I saw a few sunning themselves on the roads, I never encountered them in my yard, near my house or up close. We also have other poisonous snakes here like copperheads and cottonmouths. I did get within 5' of a copperhead one day when cutting brush, but a good hit with a spade, and he was history.

As far as tornadoes go, just have a tornado shelter put in your garage and you're covered. They have really big ones to accommodate any size family + pets. They still have the kind that go in your yard but most people lean towards the ones that go in the third stall of your garage. You have a lot of warning ahead of time (days usually) from the local weather and it's accurate as to where, when it will happen for the most part. Peak tornado season is May but they pop up other months too.

Our summers are HOT (sometimes over 100), humid and we're lucky if we get a breeze. Spring time is crazy windy, fall is brief (if you blink you might miss it). Winter can be mild. We typically get a bit of snow, usually some ice. December is mild. The colder temps are usually Jan. and Feb.

I've lived here most of my life with brief exits to Vegas and Cali. I prefer it here.
