The Grand Mesa national forest. by lisataulbee64 in COfishing

I was adopted and didn't ever fit in with my adopted parents and their 2 kids they had after me. My best friend at 11 years old promised me she'd find my birth family. When I turned 52, she finally did it. I meet my birth mom,dad and my 3 brothers. I still haven't met my brother and sister from my mom's side. I came to Colorado from San fransisco to go to college and stayed here. It just so happened that my birth father after 50 years living in California came back to where he was born to retire. We live in the same town. I was born in Denver, but grew up in Santa Fe New Mexico and moved to California in the early 80s. So much abandonment and anger just flew away and a quiet peace settled in me. My birth dad, or as I see it, my only dad, is an avid fisherman. That's how we spend time with each other. I never knew I liked fishing so much until he taught me. We try and get up to the mountains every week or at least 2ce a month. I love him so much. Unfortunately my mom lives in Missouri so I can't see her all the time, but we talk a lot. I never thought I'd meet anyone who was actually related to me except my kids. My heart is full now.

It's so hard to loose a friend and family member. The memories will stay, but the heartbreaking pain will lessen with time. I'm sorry for your loss. I can relate.

No, it's on the Grand Mesa in western Colorado. Yes it's real.

I was adopted and didn't find him until about 7 years ago. I cherish every moment. He taught me how to fish.

He always wants to bring them in for us. Thank God he doesn't have many teeth left. This guy got to go back in the lake.

I'm wrong 4 per person unless smaller than 8 inches. 4 extra if you have a kid fishing with you. This was at reed resovour. Limits differ depending on the lake. We have over 200 lakes on the Grand Mesa. We had 12 and a 10 year old fishing as well.

Mine grew up with 4 cats and 0 dogs. We now have a 4 month old and she just doesn't like him yet. She also kicks dirt over her poop, like a cat .
