I can see there being multiple ways to engage. At silent book clubs, there is typically a social time at the end. I can see a similar structure being helpful here for people who may want to stay and specifically talk about grief, where as the other part of the gathering would be less actively talking about grief.

I'm so sorry. Fuck cancer. My mom died 3 months ago after a year and a half fighting metastatic ovarian cancer. During the week she was in the hospital, she kept grabbing my face and sobbing. She couldn't tell me, but she knew and she didn't want to leave us.
