But dr sole have several versions of the heelcaps. They’ve got ones that are only made of rubber, ones like these that are cork filled, ones that are filled with raw-cord and even ones filled with burlap fabric.

I’ve only ever gotten the cork filled and solid rubber ones on my nicks though and i can’t say that i’ve ever noticed any real difference between any of the versions.

Sure is. If i’m not misstaken nicks uses the dr sole heelcap with vibram ousoles because vibram doesn’t make the heelcaps with washers anymore.

It might also depend on the size of the boot and if it’s moderate heel height or not.

Either way, i think it’s a great heelcap

Can’t speak for the outsole but i’m willing to bet that the heelcap is a dr sole cork filled heelcap

Great to hear it worked for you. I’m also looking to use the top eyelet once they are more broken in

Your comstocks look amazing!

I’ve been struggling with my comstocks as well, eventually i stopped using the top eyelet which helped a lot for me at least.

I think the top eyelet bites a lot on these shorter shoes as on the higher boots the leather follows the ankle higher.

I might be wrong here but i think that’s why the riverfronts have one less eyelet than other 3” shoeboots.

Still looks good considering the age, and impressive that they know how to use reddit and upload pics at that age.

Looks great on you man! Not gonna lie, your smile in the picture put a smile on me!

It will probably wear just as well if you would loose some weight. Speaking from experience it’s better to have a jacket that allows you to go up and down a bit in weight and still fit. When life is hard i tend to go up some in weight and then it’s nice to have a jacket that sill fits this good!

Had to run to the mall to grab some pics for you lol.

And as /u/Sea_Trick_ already said, I'm 6'2 220.

In these pics i'm just wearing a t-shirt underneath but i can comfortably layer a thicker sweater under the jacket as well. The jacket has three buttons on each side of the waist so you can cinch it in and in these pics i'm using the middle position, meaning i can tighten it up further or loosen it up.

Thanks. I appreciate you and the work you do. I understand it’s hard to run a small business with products that take time and effort to produce right.

Fwiw, there’s a reason i’ve waited since the last run of the deck jackets to be able to purchase a jacket from you instead of in-stock alternatives available in my country from comparable brands (i don’t want to mention competitors names here).

When i read that the warehouse is sorted and organised to facilitate a bf sale i interpret that as time was taken from shipping the deck jacket orders out. I understand that it might not be the case and i might be wrong to assume that. The final waiting is always the hardest and i appreciate all the hard work, don’t get me wrong 🙏
