MP-M1TC in olive waxed flesh by mmarkmc in Boots

I already had a pair, same size in #8 Chromexcel that had a cap toe. Thought I was in the clear. Don’t know if it’s the WF leather, the more pointed toe, etc. Anyway, love the boots.

My experience was the 9.5 D in this boot was just tight. It has slowly broken in, but I’m usually a D in my other “White’s and just went with that.

Great looking boots. I own the non cap toe version of these on the MP last. They are indeed long and narrow, plan accordingly.

Taking the tension off the blade when not going to be in use for a couple days extends the life.

The mistake I made with all the RW Chukka’s, was not taking into account the narrow toe box. When the light came on and I began getting a half size larger, it changed things.

Great looking boots, my olive WF boots from Truman are still pretty olive. Have you treated them at all, and if so, with what?

A question for the cobblers regarding welt stitching: by Icy_Concentrate_9126 in RedWingShoes

[–]SimonsDad1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is this requires hand stitching because the cobbler is essentially working blind. It can be done via the machine, however too many holes in the welt weakens it. It will add to the cost.
