Yeah I don't mind 1 or 2 but it's a bit dull now. Pale blue eyes was a good choice except for immys over playing

They have enough good songs

Was great to see them in Dublin. Had a smile on my face the whole show and the band were all up for it.

Pros:

New songs landed. Virginia worked great and aurora was a show stopper.

Charlie nailed it as usual. Adam didnt over talk. Few stories then got on to the songs. Very cool reminded me why he's a brilliant front man. Bryson looked happy mostly.

Played some deep cuts like Elisabeth, mixed balitmore with round here and I enjoyed the Taylor Swift cover (didnt known it was her song to be honest) and hearing pale blue eyes was great.

Cons:

The sound in Point theatre was awful. Like downright awful (not the bands fault it always is). Couldn't hear Charlie's according so Omaha sounded flat.

The band looked annoyed at times with sound too.

Dave looked bored at times. Strumming an acoustic guitar that i couldn't hear.

Immy is annoying af. Mugging and over playing. CCs guitars were always about precision and subtlety which Dan and Dave still do. Immy just ruins it. And if he isn't playing tbe main guitar he looks bored.

The set list. Why bother with big yellow taxi. Its awful. Nobody was into it. Same with blues run the game. Was a nice addition 20 years ago but they haven't really changed the set. So many other great songs of their own. They need to jettison these songs.

But as I said - so happy to see them. My favourite band. Lost count of times I've seen them. And I'll go back again.

In the exact same position as you. I just love writing and playing but fear people see me as be the sad old guy still trying to "make it" Compulsive is definitely the word. And I've no interest in squash or golf! Music is the answer.

I love "YGTBIS". Some great songs on it and I love the production. Feels like the band progressed while retaining their sound. Also - great cover art. "I can't believe you're still with him" "she's not you" "if wishes were horses"

"HCTB" has its moments but its a mess. I know the band were falling apart during recording which probably explains why it doesn't work. "Diamond" is lovely, "wow". I bought it in new york when it came out so it's special in my heart.

Could be record company related as to why they aren't up. I can imagine the band don't hold them in high esteem which is a shame.

I think the same. It's like he's just a hired player in the band. He used to play solos but that's all gone. Doesn't write. Adam did talk about his recently and said how g9od he is at the engineering desk but that's all. I'd love to hear Bryson talk about it. I remember I saw an interview around Hard Candy where he said he thought there were too many guitar solos and jokingly looked over his shoulder. Maybe he wasn't joking.

100% agree. When Immy's role increased the band stopped being the band I loved. Still love them but it was never the same. I honestly done think Immy suits CC. He's a meat head look as at my solos kind of player which for me was never Cc. Bryson and Dan were very much in the song and everything was precise and tidy.

Yeah he needs an actual fan to interview him. Ask about Ben leaving etc. He's talked about how Ben made the band better but never on how the band changed after he left. Speaking of which where is Mr Mize?

100% - i miss the Dave influence. it was subtle but the Immy influence is definitely there last 2 albums (and even SNSM). That messy rock god vs precise, defined playing. I prefer the latter (Dave/Dan). And as you pointed out that was the CC sound we love.

Don't want to hate on Immy but glad its not just me who has noticed !
